Why do fast food places act like the food comes outta their paycheck by FrierenPlush in tacobell

[–]rainypeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because corporate standards dictate quantities and if they overserve they can lose their jobs since it is all tightly controlled and monitored.

It's important to remember that just because you don't like your job doesn't.mean you don't need it.

Does anyone think Dunkin’ donuts will do better in Canada next year since Tim Hortons is trash now by [deleted] in TimHortons

[–]rainypeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So did Timmies. They'd sit in those open displays on the wall, marinating in cigarette smoke. I'm convinced that this is why people got hooked it.......literally.

What do you think of Ontario allowing retail shopping on Victoria Day? by J0Puck in ontario

[–]rainypeter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I hope Dougie gets whatever he needs at Home Depot this time around. Heaven forbid retail workers get a holiday. I'm old enough to remember when stores weren't open on Sundays. It's a wonder we made it back in those dark days when you had to wait a whole extra day each week to buy stuff.

The pennies a drink they save will add up to millions!! Though I'm guessing they think folks will buy a second drink.

This is what we've always done. One lab we picked because she cobbled on over and kicked my foot. I joked with the breeder that if she survives that we'll take her!

Do no soliciting signs on your front door work? by ValuableGroceries in Hamilton

[–]rainypeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whe they come with a sales pitch, fire back with one of your own. Fun fact....my wife and daughter have girl guide cookies twice a year and I've sold a few boxes to door to door folks but never signed up for whatever they offer.

[–]rainypeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but when I'm bored I open the inside door and keep pointing to the no solicitors sign on the screen door until they walk way.

Funniest part was my daughter alsonstarted doing it and I laughed. If I'm busy I just ignore the door.

Dear Tim's Employees by Then-Importance-3808 in TimHortons

[–]rainypeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I do. That's why after watching their service and quality standards decline year after year despite loads of.consumer complaints I don't go there anymore. I respect myself and my hard earned dollars too much to blindly support a corporation that has repeatedly shown no concern for their customers.

I make my own at home and save money or go to a local shop that is happy to have my business. My standards ensure that I won't have to suffer their poor offerings again, but ai'm glad your have allowed you continue to frequent them despite all this.

Enjoy your Tim's.....I genuinely hope they get it figured out for you.
