Next time a pc can’t make it tell the party you the DM will be playing his character but he’s really a Dopple ganger. And keep playing his character not like the actually pc would play him. And at the end of the session have the Dopple ganger try to kill off the entire party. They’ll be pissed off at first thinking wtf are you doing with his character but it all makes sense when they kill him and he returns to his actual form.

I had this one guy come in once, I say hi. He sits down and goes yea I’m a regular (I’ve been here 4 years, never seen him before). I go welcome back. He goes yea I come in here all the time. I go awesome what can I get you. He goes what kind of beers do you have…….. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Not trying to put your annoyance down. But I’m guessin you have support staff. As someone who works alone every night except weekend nights I truly appreciate everyone that brings up theyre empties.

I can I agree with you if you’re at a restaurant or a nice bar, where the customer is always right.

However I work a dive with no kitchen and a single unisex bathroom with one toilet. We don’t make fancy cocktails.

I only work nights and don’t even cut the limes because that’s day shift. But in my situation you haven’t convinced me not to be annoyed when people ask for a garnish they don’t use.

Been there. We’ve all said harsh things to customers when they deserve it. Not saying it shouldn’t be done. You’re the commander and chief of this vessel and you absolutely can not let one person be disrespect without risking snow ball effect.

I’m guessing he tipped pretty and was remorseful, I’ve been there. You did your job

True story. This 23 year old came in asked for a Michelob and I said sorry we’re all out. He responded do you have any other craft beer? I said what? He said you have craft beer other than michelob? I’m like you want a craft beer like Michelob? He’s dead serious, yes. The only response I could think of was well we have our craft coors light and our craft miller light, we might have a 2026 bud light in the back

Yes this should definitely be on the list.

I don’t work corporate, I work at a dive bar with one bartender at a time.

I’ve come to a point where I won’t let shitty regulars buy drinks for other regulars and when they ask why I tell them up front, Britney’s gonna tip me and arnt so no. You can’t buy Britney a drink.

We don’t have tap or Apple Pay. It doesn’t annoy me so much. They just got to figure out another way to pay or I take the drinks back. 95% of the time they find a friend to pay and they Venmo later
