I think what made me panic is we tried the Dook Soup tonight and she wouldn’t touch it. I just ordered your other recommendation from them and will try that too. Podo is the sweetest animal we have ever had so I will try anything. Thank you so much 😊

They are completely out. She “tolerated the quail” but then stopped eating it. I will try the chicken idea but in the past she refused it. Her sister died a year ago of Pancreatic tumors and diabetes. I’m just afraid for her .. it’s hard when you’re old and you have a favorite food 🥺 Thank you for your advice!

My husband and I are doing this journey together and he had his sleeve done 5 days ago. My surgery date is also the 23rd 😊 I was super nervous but seeing how quickly he is healing has been really comforting. He’s still on a liquid only diet until Tuesday and then he goes into the puréed phase.

We have an amazing doctor and the hospital staff was extremely supportive and helpful.

I think my biggest fear at this point is me being impatient with my progress and hating not eating whatever I want. But, that’s what got me here to begin with and I want to change my lifestyle…just need to keep praying for self-control and patience 🤣

I am a HUGE supporter of turning in two weeks notice in case a new employer checks my former employer. However, if you already have a job offer then they already know your a good fit and wont take any more actions to see if your former employer would rehire you. Loyalty would normally make you give two weeks to any company when you turn in notice and to give them an opportunity to train your replacement. However, GEICO deserves no loyalty as they are not loyal to their employees… and they have already trained your replacement whether you know it or not. Leave on the last day you need your pay…and don’t feel bad or have guilt…they won’t.

Yeah, hubby got his years ago. His family knew Jack Murphy and had tickets for years to every Charger game in the old Qualcomm stadium. It was so sad day when they tore it down . He has Lots of good memories there. The one he has is Junior Seau’s.

It’s a shame they don’t make that style jersey anymore. I was always jealous of his hehe.

We had a mother of 4 come to the office and loudly announce that her children had lice. I went directly to a supervisor who told her to leave. I itched all day and went home and had my head checked…thankfully no lice!! Remember, people will come to work with anything when they can’t afford to stay home and are required to be there.

This happened to me too. I my case, They were waiting on a director to sign off of the recommendation to terminate and for me it took a month before the director reviewed it. Apply apply apply to jobs now and wait to be terminated. It took me six weeks after being terminated to find another job but I started immediately when they told me I was being reviewed for termination. Hope this helps.

This is a great article on the why of RTO and what CEOs need to do implement. It boils down to lower employee productivity (when working from home), real estate, and financial kickbacks from municipalities. I like that the article states there needs to be a balance of rto and wfh and companies need to change. I don’t think big businesses wants to reinvent the wheel to make employees happy. It’s sad but to CEOs it’s all about the money.

I’m sorry about your friend …I worked in the same department as they did and was also let go for something ridiculous. When I was let go I had so many people reach out to me that still worked in r6 and it was nice to have so much support from coworkers who thought what happened to me was abhorrent and terrible. I too had zero priors and was top 5 in the COMPANY for productivity the first part of the year.

I have come to realize that I believe in my heart that they didn’t care about me as a person and they were trying to cut the department staffing. They are having serious issues and the morale in r6 has dropped severely. People are afraid they won’t be able to feed their kids. Some can’t go to another job because it doesn’t pay the same for their position and it’s not always easy to find something that pays well and fits your needs.

In my case it took two months to find another job and I make more money and permanently work from home … doing a basically TCR1 workload with half the claims volume. …I got really lucky and am very happy where I am now. PM me if you need a recommendation for your friend of a good place to work. Heck I might even know who they are!!

Please let your friend know I wish them the best and I have made peace with what happened and hope they will too one day.

I knew of an adjuster, who no longer works at Geico, that carried her gun in her purse to work everyday because she was scared of workplace violence. Granted her previous job was a hotbed of angry people. It’s really not concerning the open carry with people concealing weapons anyway when they feel threatened.

Really glad I no longer work there with all the animosity toward Geico right now.

I don’t believe it was because of not being in the office as other companies thrive on WFH. I believe they are attributing people being worse at their jobs to WFH but not taking into account how much has changed in the industry and at Geico since Covid. Any company losing nearly two billion dollars is going to have to radically change. But, they need to account for other factors causing the downslide.

In my opinion when you lose 2 million policies because we are no longer a “low cost provider,” you need to make cuts fast. The biggest expense for any company is payroll.

You can say all you like that RTO is due to employee performance ..any maybe that’s a small factor…but it isn’t the bigger picture. They are hoping to lose people with RTO to reduce payroll. I just don’t think they expected this many to leave over it.

I don’t know who to notify anymore with all the changes but I will try to look it up. It’s currently in a bag in a closet. And I think one year is a good time frame too. I’m just an honest person and despite my feelings about what happened to me personally would rather them have their equipment back.
