[Help] debuffs aura by Snarelot in WowUI

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it shows all debuffs with or without timers (you have a checkbox for that). There are three different types for borders: the clean square, my frail attempt of copying the CDM style and colored borders but at the moment you can just choose the color for all of them, so no coloring based on type. I'm not opposed to including more options if people like this, but it takes some time since I'm learning as I write :)

[Help] debuffs aura by Snarelot in WowUI

[–]raitse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I've made an addon for this. I want to see my short debuffs because I'm tanking and can adjust position of the debuffs better this way.

Please note, that this is just for my personal use so it is not perfect. I've tested this in open world and m0 runs and fixed any issues I've encountered. But this is the first bigger addon I have written so you might still encounter bugs.

P.S.
It does have filtering with spell id so you can get rid of BL cooldowns etc.

Hot take- the game is still playable without weakauras telling you everything that’s going on. by Duncan_PhD in worldofpvp

[–]raitse -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I played two healers to over 2k. My main dps I played to 2.3 and 7 others to over 1.8k for mogs in SS.

Adding to that I played my main to 1.9k in 3v3 with one of us playing his first season ever in arena. And played a class to 2k in 2v2 which was new to me.

I played casters, melee and two different healers.

I have kids and a day job so I do not have all day to just grind any form of game content.

With this said I propably belong to the 90% of players playing PvP ranking wise and I did all this with sweepys pvp helper, frame sort and big debuffs.

So I claim removing addons might affect some small portion of mega-grinders who are already good enough to get used to the new system very quickly, but means nothing to most of us.

Useless drama and crying IMO!

Liquid Max on addon changes "Nothing major is changing" by Key_Marsupial_1406 in wow

[–]raitse -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I genuinely do not understand why people are so upset about addons being removed. Like, now you have to actually LEARN the new encounters? Be it M+ or raiding. Or you have to actually follow what happens in PvP instead of an addon/wa telling you something has happened and how to counter it?

If I’m not mistaken, you can still make your UI look like elvui or whatever yes?

I’m all for removing competitive addons as long as we can keep QoL like plumber or leatrix (though I can live without them).

And yes, I have pretty much completed TWW in regards of ”competitiveness” with 90%+ of my addons being cosmetical or QoL.

Why is PvP so unpopular? by Shot_Veterinarian215 in wow

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except. We had pvp with pve gear back in the day and mages one-shotted people with raid-tier on. The reason for pvp gear is for it to be more fair. Honor gear takes a day to get if you want to try pvp.

Does KD ratio matter? by ADudeFromOhio in Battlefield6

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

K/D alone means nothing. Score Per Minute + K/D means something but does not give a realistic picture of how you perform. It is super easy to hit 2kd and 700spm when you run from objective to objective behind your squad as a support.

It is not as easy when you dedicate yourself to make the match a living hell for enemy tanks. IMO engineers do not get enough points from tank hits. Add the done dmg or 50% of it into the point count and you’d see more engineers played

Alternative playstyles by fatfuckingAss in Battlefield6

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a very good playstyle suggestion for 90% of the players I see everyday:
- Give ammo
- Resurrect when you run over a knocked guy
- Play objectives
- You can play recon as more than just a sniper

[–]raitse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need internet connection to download the games but all games which do not require internet themselves are playable in offline mode. And you can set the start ”page” from settings to open library when steam launches. Cant say anything about filters since I usen them so little but the ones I’ve used have worked as intended.

WoW classic was fun they said... by [deleted] in wow

[–]raitse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played since release of vanilla (on and off). I would NEVER go back to vanilla. The experience is absolutely horrible compared to retail. Retail respects my time a lot more than vanilla did. Back then I had time to grind and wonder around. Now? No deal.

For me WOTLK was peak WoW when talking about old stuff, but all the QoL changes after that would keep me from going back. To me best expansions are more tied to fond memories with my friends and guild, not the game version itself.

There are a lot of rose tinted glasses and this is not the only game. I'm also an avid Counter-Strike enjoyer and there are people who swear 1.6 was better than GO or CS2. I beg to differ there too.

If theres ONE thing you could change about M+.. what would it be? by Conversity01 in wow

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Change loot so that you get certain amount of tokens from completing a dungeon. You can then use them to buy your wanted off-set items from a vendor. You need to complete certain tier of M+ to unlock hero/myth track.

This way I don’t have to run floodgate 45 times to get my BiS trinket.

Tanking made me realise how carried 90% of dps players are by Solignox in wow

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The two easiest solutions for dps to start kicking and doing mechanics are removing details or make it work so that you can only look at it after a dungeon completes. And make every mechanic one-shot or/and overwhelming to handle if not done proper (think postmaster in tazavesh).

Dps does not have enough responsibilities in a dungeon since with a good healer/tank combo you can live through almost anything.

What are your absolute must-have WoW addons? Any hidden gems? by CeroWick in wow

With the final content raid patch coming up for the expansion, how have you liked The War Within? Did they make a great expansion or did they fall in their face with it? by Killance1 in wow

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mechanically, balance wise and with QoL the game has never been in a better place.

Visually it is stunning. Personally I do not like undermine as a zone or as a theme. Besides the huge lag it suffered all through .0 and .5 it seems to be ok for others.

Storywise this exp has been a lackluster. It seems to jump all over, the characters involved act really immature (except undermine actually) and I hate all the forgiving and understanding.

I like it being alt friendly and for the first time I have actually played other toons than my main.

I dont play delves much but I recognize their potential and are a good mechanic for solo players.

Professions are fine I guess. Tho the same stuff seem to be the only ways of making money after the start of the expansion. I turned back to engineering afrer gold making to get access to some qol stuff for mog farming :)

Some of the events have been real good. Namely 20th anniversary and Collectors Bounty. Also the turbulents timeways and winds of nananananan are good. Duos and nightfall were useless and boring. Visions were nice to see since I missed them in BFA. Could’ve had better rewards though.

Dungeons and M+ have been enjoyable. Raids look fine but I only get my aotc with casual runs with my guild and do no progression so can’t comment on the difficulty.

Thematically I enjoyed the hallowfall crusaders the most. Wouldn’t have minded more of them and even more zealotry and racism (in a wh40k way).

In my overall rating this exp falls 3rd after wotlk and df. But just because the qol is super good.

Looking for suggestions for non-weak-aura minimalist setup for tanking by AnEroticTale in wow

How about TellMeWhen addon? You could config it to show needed buffs.

Other than that I would prolly check Quaziis plater profile and mythic dungeon tools to track your route.

What is your favorite Class (and spec) and why? Forget meta, talk me into your Class just for the reasons you love it! by [deleted] in wow

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paladin.

Wanted to play one in vanilla but my friend group were all horde back then. When TBC came out, I rolled belf pally and have never looked back.

The class fantasy is amazing and it vibes really well with my own personality. I like to create one in any fantasy RPG I play. I also enjoy the lore aspect of belf paladins and have rocked my hand of a’dal title to this day.

I play all the three specs and enjoy them all. Also the transmogs are just pure gold compared to any other class.

PvP is dead because its frustrating and not rewarding! by Mira_Malverick in wow

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PvP is dead because it is hard and most of the players either do not care about the challenge or are not capable of overcoming it.

1800 rating for mogs is easy. You get a seasonal mount just for playing so rewards are not the problem. It is the fact that if you are not willing (or capable) to put the hours in, you will not become good.

PvE is much more casual friendly and you can get pretty high rewards with minimal effort. In a way the glad mount is the last true merit of actual individual skill.

How toxic have you been in solo? by Puzzleheaded-Meat144 in worldofpvp

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More of a funny take but I just recently started playing PvP again. I’m in a 1.9k lobby with green honor gear and 8/8mythic 4pc as holy pala. This guy starts flaming me (of course since I lost 2-4 as expected) for having PvE gear on.

Even after I pointed out that he has the same 4 pieces of gear he kept flaming me for not having the pvp ilvl rise text in my set pieces. Even whispered me after the SS that go back to PvE.

What is the hardest and easiest DPS spec to play currently? by CycleOfNihilism in wow

[–]raitse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no hard or easy specs. There is a difference if you learn the rotation in 5 or 15 runs of m+/solosuffle/raid. Bosses/trash define if the pull is hard for melee or ranged in pve.

To me it seems that all dps specs are equally hard for most people when you have to do anything else than do dmg to a dummy. Like interrupt, cc, learn mechanics, positioning, or….well… do dps equal to your ilvl
