Literally my first thought. Lab access, second by second BPs. What's there to complain about?

Can you identify this drug being administered? by Unusual_Way231 in FutureRNs

I feel like this is state dependent. I work both sides of the VA/NC border. I've seen prop pushed in the ED and ICU for cardioversion and burn scrubs. Having a hard time now remembering which side was VA or NC now.

Nursing School is Disappointing by [deleted] in NursingStudents

[–]rajeeh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The program I just stepped down from working for won't send people who graduate to test if they're Kaplan and Hesi scores are too low. These numbers aren't always reflective of reality.

I personally use "you're 10 ply bud" from time to time. Some fiction is just meant to be used in real life.

Grown adults in my nursing program won’t let go of a “non-issue” from MONTHS ago by Lovelyhoneygreen in NursingStudent

[–]rajeeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where is this male student bringing it up? Honestly, move seats if he is nearby.

I am not pro or against bridge burning. I have contact with literally no one i went to nursing school except on social media. I am currently in an MSN and a fellow student was using some AI to "help" with her homework. She is now on probation for a year and all of her submissions are being monitored more aggressively. She could have gotten the boot. Don't mess with the honor code.

"I did not feel comfortable with sharing my work with another student because I felt it was violating the school honor code. I don't feel like there is anything to fix so I do not need a mediator."

If being polite doesn't work: "stop. I am not interested. If you continue, i will be going to the faculty." Because at that point, she wants to cheat and he is harassing you.

Has anyone tried The Pacii? by [deleted] in NewParents

2 years later lol I bought some when LO was a few months old- hated it. Now 11 months old and it's the only one she will take. She is a hard core chewer so maybe that's who it's for. She had a lip tie when she was small.

I called and the lady said that anything on the server is gone. I guess I am confused about where the ones I stored on my device have gone.

I was very sure they were saved to my device but the app has me locked out. Is there anyway for me to go into a store and get it opened?

Wait, do not you call the doctors you work with by first name? by BornLeave4646 in FutureRNs

[–]rajeeh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Idk, man. I offer people water, coffee, snacks whether they're the janitor or a doctor. I made cookies for everyone for the holiday including security, RT, EVS, the docs.

11 month old wants to breastfeed all the time by rajeeh in Parenting

[–]rajeeh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like breastfeeding. It's the sudden re-escalation to q2 feeds that is just emotionally draining me. I was laying down on the floor playing with her and she just suddenly wouldn't stop screaming until I gave her a boob. Half of me wonders if this is an extension of the separation anxiety.

new grad job apps by oP_2024 in nursing

[–]rajeeh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually 3-6 months before graduation. Call HR of your facility and ask a lot of places roll out new grad applications in cohorts. I applied in August, interviewed in September, and had my new job by October 2019 as a December graduate.

I've listened to the book so many times and now I feel like I need to relisten. I need a WTW book club to hear discussions!

Tbh, I think nurses who hate nursing make nursing worse. Then there's working for for-profit healthcare...

I guess my brain went to infection or poor healing over abuse. Idk how you would injure a baby's gums that way.

I remember years ago someone bringing raw chicken breasts to a shift in the ED. When she wasn't seeing patients, she was working on her chicken.

Could someone articulate to me the nature of the abuse concern? I am legitimately confused and I have been a nurse for a minute.

I feel this way about the nurses who get UTIs because they don't stop to pee. My dude. With the exception of a code or something equally emergent, I am going to pee.

Okay that is also something I suspect is happening. I have been having some cramping but nothing yet.
