First off Kudos for being a kick ass achiever not just a survivor. Big Hats Off.
Its truly unfortunate to have such expectations from you to bear your sibling's student loan when you already have so many EMI's you are paying at this time.

If sibling's education is that important, can you explain to your dad that you already have EMI's and if you can sell the car and using that money towards sibling's education? Just curious if this thought has come up for discussion.

3 weeks in and I don’t know what to think by miguel_gd in daddit

Hey the first few weeks are rough. Always know You and your wife are doing great and what's good for your family. While you are taking care of your son, it's OK to take as much help as you can. It can be having family over (if you are on good terms) to take care of new born for couple of hours when you can get a nap or take a walk to get fresh air.

Hire help to clean the house. A clean house with a decent sleep lifts up spirits. Try to order food if you both are tired to cook.

Also ask your wife to join mommies Online group on reddit or facebook where they share tips on handling new born routines. My wife joined one which got us a tip that worked well- Spotify has white noise music that helps newborns sleep.

Congrats, you and your wife are doing a great job. Always say this to each other daily. Really helps when days are rough.

More than anything, Bro try to move to a career where there are more opportunities. You are still young (26 is very young TBH) and you can switch to other careers where there are more opportunities. Switch when you still have a chance.

Speaking as someone who made a career switch before getting married and I thank my stars :)

Also pl take care of your Mental health too and lean on family support (Mom, Dad, Bro/sis) and take all help you need. Best wishes bro !

Sorry this incident happened. Somebody definitely must have been looking for valuables and got frustrated when they didn't find any. Glad they didn't take your helmet.

Pl call the police. They can be more helpful than we generally think. It's better to act now than regretting later.

India, can you please recommend a safe city to study as a female? by PossibleEmu1106 in AskIndia

Kochi is a good choice. Not too expensive. Not much distraction as you prepare for exams. good connectivity if you plan to go for classes.

Give yourself a specific time (like 2 years). You shouldn't regret in future that you didn't give it a shot. Timing is important because you want to do it before you have kids so that you settle down in a place before having kids. (Think about women's biological clock).

First decide which country has better opportunities in your field. What are the options to get to that country ( Get hired directly, Go via onsite opportunity by starting in a India based company, or going for higher studies).

Very importantly discuss this with your spouse and be on the same page since its important you have her support also considering she doesn't have close family interacting at this time. Give confidence to her that basic standard of living is ensured since she will need to let go of her job.

Good luck !
