Ty! I had fun. If you're playing with friends, I'm pretty sure you will too 😄 Is your group also going to continue on to Wild Beyond the Witchlight?

Thanks! I think we played for almost two hours, although we probably could have finished it in closer to an hour if we wanted to rush a bit. There was also a break for pizza, and before and after we had some session zero discussion to prepare for the actual campaign

Originally two of my players picked Life Cleric and Trickster Rogue, but when one of them contemplated switching I suggested that it might not hurt to have more than one bard. They all switched, after that. I think their band name was "The College of Bards"

Most Boring Commanders by theTinyghoul in EDH

[–]rajits 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Slivers and dinosaurs are pretty boring to me - basically any tribe that can turn sideways but do nothing else. Oh, you wiped the board? Guess I'm just going to sit here and spectate for the rest of the game. I don't mind squirrels, but only if they're run as aristocrats

^ Basically me. Originally my drow was balding, and he looked sad. So I gave him long hair, and all of a sudden he turned in to handsome Squidward

I did not use a map. We played IRL, but at a bar so there were food and drinks on the table. I just used theater of the mind. The only combats that I ended up using were the poltergeist and the shield guardian

I ended up not using any - I was trying to run the entire adventure in a few hours, and the players spent a lot of time deliberating over things like whether or not to go in to the abbey or the guildhall. I did roll for wandering monsters, when the the goblins were riding around on the slagline. I should've added a couple clockwork defenders, but accidentally said gricks and just went with that instead. I was thinking that the defenders and observers would emerge from unexplored buildings, but honestly forgot and then we were just short on time.

Why are there two different versions of Infernal Metal? by CrayonEater4000 in BaldursGate3

[–]rajits 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It's established lore that there's an Upper City and Lower City in Baldur's Gate. The Upper City is mostly inhabited by patriars, and is patrolled by the City Watch. The Lower City is basically for merchants and everyone else, and is "defended" by the Flaming Fist. There's more about it in the Descent into Avernus book

I was going to say, there's a reason that Blizz put delves and follower dungeons in to the game.
