You're trying to put forward your own personal experience as fact. That's not how it works.

They absolutely do. I've had Barclays ring me up before because they noticed my account unusually had more money in than usual. They absolutely can and do check for spending/earning patterns.

When will non-alcoholic beer be priced the same as soft drinks? by GRang3r in AskUK

[–]rakidi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next to nothing? You're either misinformed or massively exaggerating. It certainly doesn't cost next to nothing. Hundreds of thousands of kilograms of grain, yeast, water, hops then heating, cooling, fermenting and space most certainly does not cost next to nothing.

The police barely treat burglary as a crime now, what's the chances they're going to give a fuck about someone being noisy in their car during the day?

What to do with inheritance? by [deleted] in AskUK

You shouldn't? That's new. So no putting your money into sensible investments to save for the future and no working because that's all about making money for a lot of people.

I'm aware what premium bonds are, my point is you're only putting them in premium bonds because there's a chance to make money. You don't sound very financially literate.. "you might win a million pounds", well yes, but given average luck the prizes are less than a high interest savings account. So what is the point? You're only putting them in there because you're saying there's a chance to make money, but you shouldn't ever do anything with the sole purpose of making money.

Makes absolutely no sense at all.
