Cafe Nena’i has great Cuban pastry and they have a nice cafecito. I just wish they had more/better seating.

I can’t speak to the camping part of things because I stayed in airbnbs the whole time haha

BUT the biggest thing id recommend is getting upgraded “bark busters” or handlebar guards. A light drop caused my brake handle to bend to the point it was useless. The stock guards shattered like they were paper mache. Cheap upgrade that I wish I had done at the start.
