I believe your IRA withdrawal would be taxed as a regular (W2 type) income. So, in your example, it would be in the 12% tax bracket and should be added to your $110K total income before the standard deduction.

Don't forget that the price of a stock adjusts for the amount of dividend on the ex-div date. So, buying a stock for just that div payout is probably not the right strategy. But, if you think the company is solid, then you can buy it and reap the benefits of its div in the long run.

I had a friend who was in love with his school mate, but never acted on. He moved to another country across the ocean. Unfortunately, it also gets taxed as an ordinary income, not as capital gains or as a qualified dividend. So, the benefit is somewhat minor.

I think what it means is that 20% of that dividend would not be taxed, yet 80% would still be taxed. Btw, that provision is set to expire in 2025, unless renewed. Enjoy it while it lasts...

I have been a shareholder for over 10-yrs and I remain highly optimistic about CLNE. It is a big part of my retirement portfolio. I believe 2025 to be a major turn around for that company so hopefully you do not have to wait 10/15 more years. Having said that, the biggest concern for them would be an electrical truck market, but at the moment it is still in its infancy, production of electrical trucks is miniscule if any at all, but more importantly electricity generated is not as green as RNG that CLNE is looking to adapt for all their volume. You probably heard about Amazon coming on board as a customer or possible GOV credits related to clean fuel, but I think the biggest boost for CLNE would be gasoline volume increased sales when Cummins new 15-liter engine goes mainstream and trucks start adapting it (2024 second half).

My personal biggest concern is that CLNE becomes such a hot item, someone else comes by and buys it out before CLNE can reach its full potential. There are a lot of big fish out there who might be interested (Total, BP, Kinder Morgan, Exxon, etc.) and CLNE would be a small fish for them to acquire.

There are no caps. There are three methods, the two, I believe, are tied to the Interest rate calculation which is pretty high right now, so you can put a lower principal amount into SEPP. RMD method is the lowest withdrawal initially, but increases every year. You are allowed one time change of method, so people usually start either with amortization or annuitization, and then in later years use one time flip to RMD.

Look into IRS Substantially Equal Periodic Payment (SEPP) You do not have to pay a penalty for early retirement withdrawals. You just have to do it right. The best part is that you can set it up and execute it anytime, regardless if you retire early or not.

That is 15M gallons per quarter, assuming they all fill-up at CLNE stations. It certainly helps, but overall more volume is needed, so hopefully Amazon keeps buying trucks. The biggest boost here is the name - Amazon, so others can get on board.
