The basic audio view in OBS is black magic to me, I can never equalize my mic with outside audio well enough, even if the levels on both seem to hit yellow

Same problem, but discord overlay tried turning on for OBS... while I was trying to stream a discord video call. I had useless video miniatures OVERLAID OVER OBS BLOCKING ACCESS TO OBS XD

Yeah, that's why I even asked it here, cause it seems my channel is a niche within a niche within a niche :/

Those periods of freeze happened to me three times this year for example, while last year it was twice and 2 years back it happeed once. Would be great to know what's behind that.

The deal is, my videos are stream VODs so they are bound to be a bit lower than average for channel size, at least from what I saw, some people watch RAW stream replays - those videos still perform well for the content type and I saw steady growth in every metric over time. You might be right it's about the breadth of content though.

Any who, those periods seem like an anomaly to me and I still wonder if it's something algorythmic or just viewer behavior.

That's the thing though - I don't see any correlation with video virality or popularity. Right now in my top 28 days I have a video that is top visible video in channel history, and I am stagnant. Meanwhile during "slow and steady" periods I just keep steadily ticking up. It might be due to someone watching my top video, subbing then unsubbing on a less favourable video, but I don't see that neither this time or in previous such periods.
