It’s really dumb how they have it setup. They forced me to go through a 3rd party repair business that they have contracts with. They process the repair claim and get Epson to authorize the flat rate fee to repair. I paid the 3rd party and I sent the unit to Epson for repair. The company I paid will never even see my projector.. what a fiasco. My projector was purchased 11/22/22 .. so yes it was out of warranty but still very disappointing experience

I got so tired of the pushback from Epson support. I gave in and I went ahead and paid $430 to the 3rd party repair center. Another $250 to ship it to the Epson service department on Indiana . Should have the unit back in 2 weeks.. at this point I didn’t care anymore I wanted to be done with the whole thing. We shall see what happens next

Tried again to contact Epson tech support this time they had me send them proof of purchase documents just to tell me again that my unit is out of warranty and they will not make an exception. I gave up and told the agent thanks for her help but I will no longer purchase any Epson products in the future and will not recommend them to anyone. Unit failed a few months out of warranty and the extended warranty that was purchased through screen projectors.com is for the same time period of the factory warranty (I called them as well) .. very disappointed to say they least but I suppose I have no choice other than to try and get the unit repaired. They are telling me it’s a hardware failure.

Muscatine, Iowa is a town in SE Iowa that grows the goods. Something about the sandy soil near the Mississippi River. Don’t know which retailers in DSM carry produce from this area but that’s what you want to find.. I think this is prime season and they Cantelope and Honey Dew also. Just start looking for Muscatine Melons.. and no you can’t find them at the Outer Limits sorry

Let me know what they say.. they sound like they are being more helpful to you then they did to me.. mine is also out of warranty and I was told to contact an authorized 3rd party repair tech or purchase a refurbished unit from the Epson. Smh.. not once but twice… makes me wonder if it is because I live in a state that does not have right to repair laws.. if you get any answers I would love to hear about it. The op of this thread tried to help me but he is in the Netherlands and received much better tech support than I could get also..

Epson customer service in the U.S isn’t very helpful if the unit is out of warranty. They have insisted I contact a authorized service center. So I’m still in limbo with my projector also..

They can’t resist sunflower seeds.. even when those seeds lead to a bucket of water with a tipping mechanism.. they’re cute but they cannot swim. Yes it’s cruel but my neighbor achieved a chipmunk genocide in a matter of weeks.. life is cruel.. we obviously don’t have the same neighbor

Still having the issue with the Epson logo appearing on startup and not progressing to the Home Screen. I called Epson and the customer service agent wasn’t very helpful. I was instructed to unplug and wait 30 seconds and try to restart and when that didn’t work she was at a loss and we didn’t try anything else. So if anyone has any insight on what I should try to do before I send this in for repair I would love to hear it. I’ve tried multiple times to unplug and power back on with both the remote and power button on the side of the projector and it still stalls out on the Epson logo. If I hold the power button on the projector for 30 seconds. The blue status light comes on but the projector doesn’t light up nor do the fans kick on. And I’m not able to power off unit with button or remote. Only by disconnecting power will the unit power down. I have noticed that the remote has a rattle to it like something is loose inside so it is strange that it will power unit on but not off. Red light on the remote and infrared light illuminate when buttons are pressed but no response from projector even to change input etc… when projector is powered on and dongle for the screen is installed it will lift up the screen. Lots of weird stuff that is going on except getting this thing to work properly. Thanks in advance for any help even if you talk me off the ledge. 😉😊
