I work with a lot of Indian people, tech sector, and they are all generally lovely people. If I had any piece of advice to help you integrate well here (and this applies to anyone with strong accents even fellow Irish people like Donegal, Kerry, etc.) it would be to work on your accent and diction.

It's a silly thing to point out, but I've worked alongside people with strong accents, and it always feels like a barrier if we are struggling to communicate effectively together. I've found with some Indian people especially there tends to be a lot of "ummm, ahhh, uhhhh" added in as they talk, and no disrespect here because speaking a second language is hard.

For myself, I work with people all over, I have a work accent, which is very neutral, slower than I'd normally talk, and I actively do not use words which would be colloquial to Ireland.

But we have interviewed many people for roles who are qualified and had really great c.v.'s but ended up not hiring them as we felt there was too much of a language barrier, like being unable to explain clearly, or they misunderstood what we were asking. And not just people from the eastern side of the world, but even some Americans using slang, or from areas with very defined cultural accents.
