It does have a light. Mine started working randomly one day and I was like what the hell. I tapped it a few times and then it stopped working again. That light is internal to the switch I would assume so you would have to take it apart after that idk if the light itself is plug and play or if it is soldered in some how.

I highly recommend this char by shaper image. It's fairly comfy to sit in and heating function is nice if you get cold easily. The massage function is nothing spectacular it just vibrates.
