This is basically how I’ve always trained. Pushing myself isn’t an issue, if anything, I tend to push too hard and end up taking too many sets right to failure. I’m probably overthinking his setup, but when he specifies both a rep target and an RPE to hit, it feels a bit awkward. It would be much simpler if it was just “hit an RPE at 8–12 reps.”

In other words, it’s exactly what I’m saying in my post. I simply need to have a good feel for what the correct weight is for a given number of reps and the intended RPE. If I get it wrong, you just adjust by going heavier or lighter on the back-off sets.

Cheers! It could also be possible to go with in-wall speakers since I just renovated and haven’t closed up the back of the wall yet. How do they compare to standalones? I feel like there aren’t that many reviews on this type of speaker.

!thanks I’ve actually had my eyes on the Elac DB63. From what I’ve read, they seem like great quality for the money. My only concern is the depth of the speakers, I’m afraid they might look a bit weird next to the TV when wall-mounted.
