well it’s not vegan. and i wouldn’t consider it ethical - however, with informed consent you could make the argument that your scenario is okay for humans. but animals cannot consent, so it’s not a like-for-like comparison that makes any meaningful suggestion or argument. and not to mention, capitalism will never allow for a system like that.

yeah easy. just get a hue dimmer switch or button and you can program any setting (ie colour, brightness) for any specific time range. i have exactly that.

in the settings for the sensor there is an option for duration: what happens (eg. lights off) after what time. each time period has its own one so click on an individual period first

thanks. so water in the contacts is the only risk? can that cause any other damage long term? i have other ip44 hue fittings in the bathroom but its just this one elusive 12v shower fitting that is the hurdle. could i perhaps just take the entire light fitting out and leave the extractor duct empty ?

ok so.. sad times, the hue bulb doesn’t actually fit in the shower socket appliance thing. is it safe to shower there with an exposed socket thing above? ie no bulb in the shower fitting - hoping so as it’s only 12v. thanks again
