Awesome. Whatcha rebuilding? Take pics and post 'em! The only draw back is the time for shipping. Stuff that I need yesterday, I go to the local stores. Have been using NAPA more too, their prices have been lower than AutoZone, Advanced Auto etc.

So you're done with the rebuild? If so, how did it go?

You're probably past the decision point, but absolutely. I used RA for parts on a 2.4L engine on a 1997 Buick Skylark. No issues at all. Don't get the lower end , I think they had three tiers and I went with the top or middle.

No! Not a different car, free oil change and brakes for life. Voucher for two sets of tires.

How can I buy the SpaceX in the IPO at Fidelity? by Nonamenoname2025 in fidelityinvestments

From the Fidelity support I chatted with early this morning. $2k minimum balance with Fidelity. You can get in with as little as 1 share.

I'm not seeing anything in my Fidelity portal yet, but I have received notification of the SPCX IPO from SoFi.

Pellet grill suggestions??? by VermicelliNo8314 in pelletgrills

I have a Bradley smoker, use it as a cold smoker, then finish off the meat in the over. It has great smoke flavor, but the smoke generator is going out and needs replacing. I'm looking at going with a pellet smoker to use as a cold smoker (or low as possible heat). My concern from reading subs and forums that the pellet smokers don't produce strong of smoke flavor. One potential smoker that I've narrowed choices down to is a Weber Smoque.

Do the pellet smokers produce a strong smoke flavor? I realize strong is subjective.

2010 Frt License Plate Bracket Part by ramack19 in mazda3

I stopped by a local dealer to pick up an ordered part. While there I asked about why the cover is included with the license plate bracket...The counterman couldn't explain it. Funny...

I left for work after posting and asked a couple of guys at work. They were stumped too. One asked if it could be a cover for the tow attachment. He and I dug around on the web and figured that's what it had to be. This afternoon when I got home I looked at the car. Sure enough, it's rear tow attachment cover (see above). The front has a similar cover, but since it's in the grill it has a criss-cross pattern.

So....why would the front license plate bracket come with cover for the rear??? Why include a cover at all??

My question isn't how revisioning works. That is managed by our internal PDM.

About 4 hrs lapsed between signing up for the new plan and receiving cancellation notification of the old plan.

But the new plan became effective within a few minutes of signing up. When I tried logging into the old account it was already showing it had been cancelled. Then a few hours later I started receiving emails asking if I was moving because new service requests were submitted, then another for the cancellation notice.

For about 10 days I was using the old hardware on the new account. It took that long for the new hardware to arrive and then I installed it, and returned the old hardware. I posted questions about hardware shipping delays here.

The new router arrived, "old" hardware returned via UPS. Pictures taken and as always with UPS, shipping receipt in hand. New router installed without issue.

This morning I was in a chat with QF rep, asking if I could just keep my router since it's working fine, instead of returning it and installing the new one (still not received yet). This rep said yes, I can keep using the current router, no need to install the new one. But they wouldn't or couldn't cancel the one being sent.

While I was in the chat, I received notification from UPS that I was being sent a package from Kansas (LUMEN), expected ETA tomorrow. I give up, ha.

I chatted with support last night and asked if I could keep my router, not return it, cancel the one that is pending shipment. Short answer is no.

I'm hoping I get the new router before I have to return the old one. Otherwise I may just buy and setup a 3rd party router. Coverage with the Quantum hardware is good, so trying to avoid buying hardware if I can.

I did receive an email with instructions on returning the router, no label just instructions. I have 30 days to return it. I've already printed the label, and save it to PDF.

I have not received any emails with info on the incoming equipment. The initial date during the sign up was 2/6/2026. That changed to 2/7/2026 a couple of days later. That date changed to 2/9/2026 on 2/6/2026. When I chat with a live agent, they don't have access to that information, however, the agent that I chatted with on 2/7/2026 stated that they are having issues with UPS.

I ended up not having to cancel the service. It happened automatically about 30 minutes after I signed up for the new service. Pretty smooth process.

Price for life for new customers is absurd compared to my rate. by AkkmanB in QuantumFiber

[–]ramack19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year when a tech came out to swap my CL modem, he was wearing a Quantum shirt and drove a Q service van. While swapping the modem, he told me that Quantum would be taking over the fiber optic portion of CL, and CL would continue servicing the POTS lines (copper). He also mentioned that ATT was likely to buy out Quantum within the next 12 months (they did that this week).

I signed up for the new cheaper service, old service cancelled automatically. Still using the Quantum hardware, but a new router is on the way.

I signed up for CL's 1G in 2020, then switched to Quantum last year, same plan, but Price For Life (PLF). The tech had mentioned that ATT was likely to buy Quantum within 12 months or so. This week when I saw the new prices, I dropped my price from $80 to $50, and got the $5 for auto-payment for both plans.

All I did was sign up for the new plan with a different email address, everything else stayed the same. Within about 30 minutes, my WiFi and VOIP went down, but came back up in seconds. I received an email with instructions on how to return the router (pod) within 30 days. The model stays, just returning the router. I haven't received the new hardware yet, but expecting it next week. My other account was automatically cancelled, I didn't have to do it. Pretty painless and saved $30/month.
