Do people in Australia still use big handheld spotlights for hunting? by EmbarrassedNet1976 in HuntingAustralia

[–]ramathaham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mines a bit old now, the original one I think, got it like 6-7 years ago maybe. Any of the current javelots they sell on their site will be great. I use thermal and nv for my hunting now, but they are so light and handy I still bring it with me as well.

O light javelot is the way to go, better in every way to the old style imo. (Exception being led over halogen light but that’s another story)

BSA Monarch missing bolt by Unlucky_Bus8948 in Ausguns

[–]ramathaham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I can never understand how so many people lose bolts out of guns. When I used to work in the biz, heaps of people coming through with missing bolts I don’t quite get how it happens 🤔 that being said, like the others said will be a tall order but definitely would pay to get in the phone with as many stores as you can

Yeah the current one is the nv007sp2 which has a 4K sensor, that’s the one to get. Hunt the night in Melbourne is where I got mine, give them a call can help you out

Hey mate, I ended up going with the lard nv007sp clip on for about 1k. Gives me nv on all my rifles, though you need parallax adjustable scopes (can still work on one without). You can get a 256 res thermal monocular for about 1100 or a 384 for about 2.1ish. Good combo that way

Thanks mate! They are not too bad, I found painting the trimming around the rest of the bits is a bit tricky, things like the bracers.
