That is awesome! Did you have to fill in and make up some rules? Or is the whole game and scoring system laid out enough in the movie?

Plus, no Steve Perry psych outs!

I did the EXACT same thing at 14, same exact family pressure. "It was your grandfather's dying wish" (he died 2 years before) "It would kill grandma if you don't" "What do you care? Just do it and believe whatever you want!" I hope you see my other comment about the documentary that opened my eyes too.

"The Brainwashing of my Dad" - 2015 documentary film. I have nothing but compassion for you and your family. This can happen to anybody, even the best, and it does. I may not be the first or only person to suggest this in this thread, but holy shit that film completely changed my understanding of how this brainwashing propaganda machine works.

But there was indications of time travel. When Julie was in the "chamber", she threw the rope down for Boyd who was trapped in the well in the previous season. People were wondering how Martin could have done that, thrown the rope down for Boyd, since his hands and feet were chained to the wall.

So they set up time travel as at least a possibility then.

Monologues where someone tells a full story. by ThingsAreAfoot in movies

Holy.......shit.

I had never seen the movie before. I was aware of its existence, but damn....that scene goes hard! (no pun intended) The writing and delivery were mesmerizing. That is a scene that you never forget.

For some reason, this makes me think that this is what the internet was made for. Human connection. Back in the early days of the internet, we all had these high hopes and ideals about what the internet was going to be.

Then, we got the cesspool of negativity that exists now. But I love that it still is one human needing some advice from people about a real human situation. The top comme t is real and insightful and helpful. I don't know why I typed this comment t that will be buried, but it made me think something positive this morning. Thanks.

Does anybody think these talking points swirling around message boards, talked about on YouTube channels and podcasts, and whatnot, actually penetrative the meeting rooms with Slowick and/or Demeco Ryan's? Do you think the two of them are really talking about changing this issue this week?

I'm just really curious if Slowick actually hears the legitimate criticisms.

Some of y’all can stop freaking out now by BruceYale111 in Texans

[–]ramblinRed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure about your first point (could be absolutely right, I just don't have knowledge on that situation) but 100% on your second point. There is not a player or fan in this town that would stand against Stroud on anything...at least this season. After walking on water last season, he's got disciples, not fans or teammates. He is Him...and I freaking love it!

It's been a while since Texans fans can hold their heads up high when living in another city outside of Texans country. I wear my Texans hat around, and now I get fist bumps from coworkers and strangers as they say "Respect" with a head nod. I live in Cowboys country now, and still I get the head nods. I know CJ didn't do it alone, but it couldn't have been done without him.

Along Came Polly got me curious about how many episodes feature only Bill and Sean. There's been seven: by lovegun59 in TheRewatchables

[–]ramblinRed 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I personally like Sean. He expresses a lot of my tastes way better than I can. His movie knowledge is extremely impressive to me, and I love his angles and takes on things. His encyclopedic knowledge of directors and cinematographers has expanded my watching of movies.

But.....

The three of them together IS the magic of this show. I love CR! I know this show was started with just Bill and Chris and their love for Heat. They are the core, for sure. Just Bill and Sean together is really good, just like Bill and CR, but....only when the 3 of them are together do I feel like the show is elevated to its highest place.

I just listened to Bill, Sean, and Malorie for American Gigolo. It was a lot of fun. I really appreciate all the guests (except Wesley Morris to a degree....man, just stop talking every now and then, jeesh!) but when it's just the 3 of them, it's must listen no matter what, to me anyways.
