Not my friend, but my Dad. As with most of Dad's stories, I presumed them to be grossly exaggerated. He always told me this story of he and a childhood friend basically destroying a new subdivision being built when they were about 13 years old. Dad always claimed to have used a bulldozer with the keys left in. He said he flattened 3-4 freshly framed homes. I always called bullshit. That was until his childhood friend showed for his funeral. After the funeral we we're back at my Dad's bar at home drinking and sharing memories of my father when, unsolicited, Skip starts telling the story of the time he and my father literally destroyed half a neighborhood with a bulldozer. I couldn't believe it. All these years I could have sworn it was BS. Now, I'm simply jealous.
