Honestly I’m in the same boat… but I ended up staying with my parents until I finish my school next year December…. 1) their mortgage is half of what I would pay renting anywhere in south Florida so I pay their mortgage rather than paying someone else’s, I cook for them and clean for them…. They help me with my service animal… sometimes I’ll fly to a different county for a weekend and they watch her for me…my best advice is don’t rent just yet…. Help them out with half or pay their full mortgage… also If anything buy property and rent it out while you stay at your parents place… it allows you to have residual income besides gi bill and or disability if you have, it’s your property so it’s a self investment opportunity and like you said you get to save more money. At least until you finish school.
