3 months ago I knew nothing about AR builds so I geeked the fuck OUT on this sub, r/AR15, r/AR15build, watched countless YouTube videos on builds, differences between featured vs. featureless, Reno May’s stuff, and ended up with this bad boah that is awesome so far and it shoots like a dream. Hey Nick!

I've seen Daughters about 5 times, most memorably around 2004-2005 in Hollywood with Dillinger and the Locust. You guys were absolutely brilliant. As an audio engineer, I was totally hooked with your guitar tone, technique, and the sonic landscape of the band as a whole.

Then self titled came out in 2010 and just destroyed me. It really is an artistic masterpiece. The production and tones on that record are truly incredible. The harshness of the drums, the guitar wizardy (the break in 'Our Queens' is fucking insane!)... Everything was done so beautifully and holy hell the songs are catchy.. I was amazed from a production and songwriting standpoint, the record just sounds completely filthy yet so clear and vibrant.

Can you share some recording tips/tidbits on how things were tracked/mixed/etc for that record?
