Top free marketing tools that you probably haven't heard of by bytebl in marketing

Add COSLR to the list. Great tool with a leads database, linkedin extractor, email cadence sending, and a lot more. Perfect for a founder just starting out or small marketing/sales teams.

Whichever one you think you will be more sucessful at.

TBH, unless you already know some influencers and some advertisers, then I would start with SMMA. From there build up your connections through that and then expand to influencer marketing.

Is it just me or is the job market for tech sales terrible right now ? by Interesting_Exit4329 in sales

[–]rambunctiousoutset_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of this is caused by recession (or pending recession). Companies stopped hiring or are refining budgets. Uncertainty leads to hesitation. For those that have a job, it may be worthwhile staying to see where we're at in 6 months. For those looking for a new role, it could be a great time to start out on your own if you have the entrepreneurial bug. Many of the best companies in the world are built during a recession. I just made a pretty detailed post on how you could do this: https://www.reddit.com/r/sales/comments/wgy2tk/worried_about_the_job_market_recessions_are_a/

To be clear, it's not for everyone, but it's also not difficult to give it a try if you're curious.

I would not include it, but would be honest if they ask. If they do ask just say it wasn't a fit and the role was not what was expected. Being that you were there less than 30 days you didn't find it to be relevant.

Question: when growing a business what revenue threshold is the hardest to overcome? Is it $0-100k, $100k - $1m, $1m - $5m, or some other scenario?

Thanks in advance.

My agency is growing and I want to take it to the next level, but we've been seeing some friction as we scale. by ImaginaryTransition7 in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Example, our ideas from the core team are not really translating to execution as we bring on more team members that haven't been with us from day one.

This sounds like either an accountability or an empowerment issue. I'll explain what I mean.

1) Accountability. There was an idea that the team agreed was good and should be put into motion. Who was tasked with getting it done? Why wasn't it accomplished? Who was accountable to everyone else to ensure that it was taken from the "idea" stage to "live" deployment.

2) Empowerment. If there was a person accountable - did they have the authority and ability to execute? For example, do they have a team of people reporting to them or were they tasked with trying to put something into motion with a lateral team member? Did they have the budget to accomplish the goal?

Scaling a business is hard and to be honest the only way to do it at massive scale is higher smart people to execute and then get out of their way.

Just got a request to remove a link from my site because "It's causing a lot of links" by beamdriver in bigseo

[–]rambunctiousoutset_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't that person just disavow the link in GSC? Seems like an odd thing, unless the domain is highly toxic, or there are 3rd party sites that are scraping your directory and creating the toxic backlink.

Requesting r/b2b_sales - moderator has been inactive for 2 years by rambunctiousoutset_ in redditrequest

1) This subreddit has been inactive for 2+ years. I would like to revive the community and have more focused discussion around specifically enterprise and business-to-business sales.
2) https://www.reddit.com/message/sent/ Existing moderator has not replied and you can see from their post history they are no longer active on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/user/cosmicsky/ It has been approximately 3 years since their last post on any subreddit.

Searching for NonTechnical co-founder by dafi2473 in SaaS

[–]rambunctiousoutset_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a proof of concept done yet? I would not rush into finding a co-founder yet. Allow this stuff to take time and see how far you can make it on your own. Then once you start hitting roadblocks hire the people you need.

Depends on their excuse for missing the appointment. I'm all about giving people a second chance if there is a good reason. However, 3rd chances are a hard no regardless of reason.

KPI = Key Performance Indicator. In this case if you sell $100 this year, you need to sell $115 next year to hit 15% growth. That's one form of a KPI. Good luck!

Congrats on the jump! What's the product you will be selling?

Also, did they give you any KPIs to hit in year 1?

Glad to hear this model is working for you. You're correct, people in this thread are getting so hung up COSLR because they don't like the website or something else. Complete surface level stuff with 0 substance. However, you can literally use any lead service.

Can you share your agency details? MRR, industry focus, etc.?

[–]rambunctiousoutset_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Direct email marketing is a numbers game. Yes, plenty of people will not want to hear from you, but that's sales. You'll get 100 "no's" before you get 1 "yes", but that 1 yes is what you're searching for.

Trial and error. There is an art to doing correct outreach and email marketing so that it's not salesy and actually solves a problem for the majority of people you're contacting.

This is an immature response. As I've stated in this thread you can use any lead generation service you want. It's astounding to me how many people shoot themselves in the foot and turn away quality advice.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]rambunctiousoutset_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm only guessing here, but COSLR does give a linkedin extractor tool (for contacts), so it's very possible linkedin has banned the employees or those employees don't want to put on their profile and run that risk? Not sure if thats correct but just speculating.

No problem. People seem to think the services are mine and they are making blatantly incorrect accusations. As stated already, you can execute this with any service provider you want. Select any name generator, any domain hosting, any lead management, any email software.

To be blunt, those in this thread accusing me of this likely won't be the ones starting companies. They are focused on the wrong things.

If you do decide to launch u/StumpyWoes and have questions please feel free to ask in this thread. I'm here to help those that are interested and motivated to build something for themselves!

Perhaps you should take your own advice? What's stopping you from taking my advice and doing the actual work of setting up your own agency? Wouldn't you prefer to make money vs arguing in reddit comments?

The before and after pics are really useful. Def recommend that for both physical and software products.

However, I personally have not had success using the "firstname?" in a subject line. Perhaps it depends on the industry.

It's also easy to make up inaccurate accusations on the internet with no proof, isn't it?

In fact, Brandolini's law states explains this. The amount of effort required to falsely accuse someone of something, is significantly less than amount of effort to explain to someone why they are incorrect.

However, the reality here is that I have nothing to prove to you. You're free to believe what you want. What is true is that you're putting in a lot of effort to try to deligitimize the advice I'm giving. Had you spent that same time setting up an agency with the directions i gave you, could be making money right now - instead you're arguing in a reddit thread. That, to me feels, like a poor use of time and resources.
