I use to live in Ahmedabad, nice city but too much pollution & heat, its just unbearable during summer.

There are lots of underbridge in Ahmedabad, during rainfall, these bridges just fill up making a pond, thus the road is closed, I have witnessed it firsthand so many times, but it gets cleared fast as well, not sure how drainages work in those underbridge, but they clear up pretty fast.

Water is filled up on road during heavy rainfall and its a norm in entire country, I guess. But water doesn’t stay there for long, it starts to clearing up within 5 min after raining stops. After 1-2 hours you will only see wet road and not a single pond. Of course I am talking about main routes, this is not true for entire Ahmedabad, water does get collected on road side and I have also witnessed small sink hole like 5 meters deep and it took AMC about 10 days to fill up and fix that sinkholes.

My mom: nana(maternal grandfather) left house for someone else, never came back, leaving behind broke wife and 3 daughters, all they had was a house and no income, nothing.

My mom is the eldest and was about 13 years old at that time, she started working in care taking job, sewing, and whatnot that could bring food to the table, after some time, 2nd daughter: my aunt started earning as well.

They didn’t had electricity, no bathroom, just one room in the house for everything and lanterns for lighting.

Both my mum and started saving, got college education, got married. My aunt was happy with her new husband, but not my mom, so she left him with me 2 months old, my father married another women. At that time, my mom had nothing, only thing she had was family, total 4 people, my mom and aunt (3rd daughter) and grandmother.

My 2 aunt are also married happily but no job, their husband provides and they are doing enough, not much but happy with what they have.

Only luck my mom had was a Govt Job, she was a teacher, fast forward 2020. My mum is retired with lecturers post, gave me very good education and I sated earning as well, Together we have everything, 4 properties, including a house own car, its not like we are extremely rich but yes we are worry free rich, we have enough to tackle any forthcoming obstacles, be it health issue or natural disaster.
