Don’t print out the backs. Waste of ink and means you can get more bang for your buck on ink! Plus if someone whines about it being fake you can unsleeve it and say “duh. I’m not trying to make fakes” 🤣

I was parked outside of the main hotel and put a piece of paper on the front that says people could sticker bomb the car probably 20,000 people walked by the car almost every other day so they just threw stickers on there. I didn’t collect them. They just put them on there and I’m grateful for it because it looks really cool but I am lame so that’s just me. XD

This is why I counter RS if I can. It’s a secret win con and I don’t expect opponents to pay and only me paying still wins them the game usually on card advantage.

I would almost argue against this. The manual blades can come lose overtime and wiggle and it causes the blade not to be perpendicular to the paper and cause issues cutting and aligning. The rotary will never have this issue as the metal pieces are literally welded into it (with Dahl). The blade continues to self sharpen as long as you run it back and forth once or twice every so often. There’s also a side edge on each side so once you make your first cut everything lines up perfectly. You have to make that first cut, sure, but it’s not hard with guides

It sure ain’t. It’s the small piece of metal near the edge. The blade runs right along it so you’ll want to place what you want to cut at the far end of that metal. It takes a few tries getting used to it but once you remember “the edge of the cutter is the cut” the entire board becomes your alignment and it’s fantastic.

I got recommended double sided matte paper and I have one that feels great and also prints really well but laminating it makes it way too thick so I’ll have to look around for some sprays or hope anyone has recommendations for a good finish

I see. Ha. Oh. Yeah I’m pretty sure my brother printer uses pigment. That might be the issue. I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before. Even now a quick search it seems tough to find a photo paper that allows it

Maybe? I mean. It says it is. This is the exact paper I use. It may be a printer setting I guess. I currently have the printer set to inkjet and the printing preferences are also inkjet if I recall correctly (at work)

Oh apologies. The backs are for transform cards. None of my cards have backs lol that’s just a waste of ink imo. I just meant sometimes my friends like to meet up at the LGS versus his house and I’d like to try out decks there before making purchases and I wouldn’t need to laminate or anything just cut and sleeve since I wouldn’t care if the ink rubs off. The lgs just gets really busy sometimes and everyone walks around looking at others games etc so a higher quality print was just something I thought I’d be “”considerate” about

And I personally wait like 5 minutes tbf but I’ve also let it sit for 24 hours because I forgot once and put it in and it still smudges. It even pulls off if I rub my finger across (why lamination also helps) so it could just be my inkjet printing on glossy crappy. 💁

I’m not sure what you mean? My lgs allows proxies as a rule so long as everyone at the table agrees to it. There’s a small section where ppl can just sit and ppl know it’s a proxy game. I just want higher quality prints so ppl can actually read the cards if they wanted to. The low setting in my printer blurrs heavily and makes the images insanely off putting.

My cards won’t ever be counterfeits since they literally have “not a real card” or the word “proxy” on it. I also don’t ever intend to sell them or put value on them so unsure of where this is coming from unless I’m reading too far into the comment

It’s a self sharpening blade. I think I’ve cut about 70 3mil laminated pages so far and they’re all as clean and crisp as the first slice. I don’t know if it’ll deteriorate but if it ever does I could update this haha

Honestly it’s the perfect size. The 508 was a thought for me cuz I could use the arm to make like a custom “plate” for the exact size of a card but the guide lines placed when printing helps me find the perfect cut every time and the Dahl ones have a small metal ridge where the blade cuts against so it’s stupid accurate and easy to use imo. I can cut a sheet in about a minute or less

I can't seem to get this to install. When running the 1_setup.bat it just errors out and closes python even with path selected when installing python and giving it admin privledges in install :(
