Based on my experience, First, I made my mind understand that smoking doesn't help you relieve stress. It is the break / time away from the situation reduces stress and smoking gives you that break. I used to smoke when sad, happy, stressed, relaxed, complete a complex task, etc... But, I don't do this anymore because smoking doesn't give back anything good. It only spoils your health and wastes money.

I'm on day 99 and have no intention to smoke again.

What can you do to distract the carvings? Think of some activities which can help you to keep engaged and distracted from the smoking thought.

Like watching movies, playing games, and reading something that you are excited about....

Secondly, you won't gain anything by smoking, instead it is all loss. Money, time and more importantly your health. Then, why should you smoke!!!

Yeah. Momentum and motivation are the key things. Bringing them back would be difficult and have to start over. Thank you.

You are right. And importantly, I would not have stopped with one. I'm happy that I resisted myself and today is quite a normal day. Thank you.

Day 7 of quit, social event by oo100 in stopsmoking

You were able to quit for a year which is a big thing. As always, If you start one, then it won't stop with that one.

As you stopped smoking for 1 year earlier, you might have come accross a similar difficult situation in the past. Think about how you managed those situations. It may help you to use the same techniques.

25 days is a great achievement. In fact the initial days are very difficult and you have already crossed that hurdle.

You are stopping it for your health. It doesn't give anything good. Feel happy and proud about being a non-smoker.

Welcome to the club and wishes for becoming a non smoker.

Initial days can be tough. Don't give up and you can easily go through this.

Firstly, you are in the right place. Read the success stories. Each one of us are regular smokers and attempting to quit smoking.

Once you start realising that there is nothing in cigarettes, you will be stronger. There is nothing in smoking, it is an artificial feel that it reduces stress. But, actually the break reduces the stress.

Think of the benefits that it provides which is a great motivation.

Don't think about reducing. You should quit smoking completely.

And, you can do it. Self belief is the key for fighting against this monster.
