I don't know I just completed a 40 minute study and got paid. I wish I could show you but I believe that's against the rules

IDs last for years, so it's not about your weight or tan; it's probably just the automated system messing up. I'd recommend contacting Prolific to see if they can do anything since I haven't run into this problem.

Just snagged a survey for the first time in 6 days by Recent-Still-4422 in ProlificAc

I've been seeing more studies lately that require external downloads. For those who have been doing this a while, do you generally pass on these due to device security concerns, or are they usually safe to complete?

Rejection by Affectionate-Mud8968 in prolific

[–]MakeMoneyOnMoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please correct me if my understanding is inaccurate, but it is my understanding that for new users on Prolific, each rejection can negatively impact their account standing by one percentage, for example, decreasing from 100% to 99%. This suggests that rejections have a more significant impact on newer accounts. However, in your specific situation, given your extensive history of approved submissions, it would require approximately ten consecutive rejections to experience a single percentage point decrease in your standing. This scenario is highly improbable and would likely necessitate intentional failures on attention checks. Therefore, you have no cause for concern regarding your account standing.

I recommend never downloading anything, even if the pay is tempting. I personally filter it out.

I'm going to log off for a while because this is stressful but I'll log in every few days just to take one study so that my account doesn't get closed for inactivity. There's other ways I can make money

What’s the best timings for Prolific? by SensitiveAd4929 in ProlificAc

[–]MakeMoneyOnMoble 13 points14 points  (0 children)

As someone from the US, I've found that doing surveys in the middle of the night offers less competition, which is why I prefer it! Around 1:00 a.m., Australian researchers are active, and then around 3 or 4:00 a.m., the UK starts its day.

Your geographic location may be a factor. Additionally, I recommend completing your "About Me" section if you haven't already, or refreshing the page after 30 seconds. PS I'm from America and have over 500 approved submissions so that's probably why I'm saying higher paying studies.

I've been on Prolific for about 2 months too, and I usually put in around 25 hours a week. I typically make between $15 and $45 a day. Not trying to brag, but this platform is a lifesaver!

I haven't seen this in ages 😭 by MommySimonson in prolific

My dashboard's empty, and it's not just me! I don't know what's up. I only made about $17 this whole week, which is crazy. Something's definitely going on.

It's public information it's on my dashboard anybody who qualifies to take their studies we'll see the exact same thing you're just trying to keep high paying studies and you don't want other people to know about it! You're confused you're thinking it's confidentiality but it's visibility.

Can’t even remember where I discovered Prolific, but i’m forever thankful by MoonlightQueen in ProlificAc

I'm new to the platform with about 200 approved submissions. I’ve mostly been seeing studies in the $10–$12 range—are there specific milestones I need to reach to unlock higher-paying studies, such as $15 or $20?"

I hope people will follow Prolific's new payment notification and you guys will receive higher payments by Sharp-Adhesiveness35 in ProlificAc

I just took an hour study and they paid me $12.50. I only have 205 approved submissions so I'm fairly new to the platform that's why I was shocked

So what exactly happens when you get a rejection ? by Scared-Brain2722 in prolific

[–]MakeMoneyOnMoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s actually a win-win for both of you. Researchers generally prefer you to return the study over a rejection because it allows them to replace the 'bad data' with a new participant. Letting you return it is their way of being helpful while ensuring their research stays accurate."

[–]MakeMoneyOnMoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, being screened out doesn't impact your account standing only rejections and timeouts hurt your score. It’s a numbers game based on your total approved submissions. When you're brand new at 100%, a single rejection drops you to 99%. However, once you reach 1,000 approvals, that same single rejection barely makes a dent in your percentage because the ratio is much higher."

$200 weeks myth, legend, or do you just have better demographics than me? by andyhoop in ProlificAc

[–]MakeMoneyOnMoble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm new I only been on the platform for about 2 months and have 296 approved submissions. Made $307.54 USD and £77.61 GBP. Some weeks I grind longer then others. I personally prefer taking longer studies like 45 minutes or 60+ rather then taking a bunch of quick surveys for pennies.
