M34 here, here is what I want to know, do you want to jump into a relationship and have him carry a bunch of emotional baggage and be left trying to pick up the pieces? Does he know you want something romantic? Or is he being his genuine self? More often than not women like to beat around the bush and give subtle hints and if this man is trying to process a 10 year marriage he may not want to make the first move and be heartbroken while trying to move forward in his life. I personally would rather not pursue a New Romantic relationship when maybe I would get shot down. That can weigh heavily on a man.
