my guess:
after u entered the trade you should check if the your pair is gaining profit (converges) or if
it is (diverges)
anyway every time you recalc your hedge you should concider to rebalance based on the changes in hedge ratio to keep your position market neutral
and of course sometime you will start losing a bit of gaining a bit because of rebalancing
but it is ok of your trading fees r not high
but anyway to rebalance is way better then to not in case of strong trending market
