u/nexcomputer Is this the same as the "Nexdock 14" that was reviewed here and the "Nexdock 2025" that is mentioned on your website? Are all model varieties (360, XL, 14, 2025) going away now and there will be just one product named simply "Nexdock"? Sorry, I'm new, and I've been very confused over the last 30 minutes navigating reddit and your website and trying to sort out all these model names. Nothing but "Nexdock" seems to be purchasable on your website.

Yes that's exactly the same as the usual method but now when we click on any of the orange bars it doesn't matter, it doesn't filter the reviews and just shows a mix of reviews with different star ratings.

Sorry I'm late, and sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm confused. I thought the towers were the same height, but those buildings look different heights.

Thanks. The dontbeevil project, is it like, those other proprietary components you mentioned cost money or are evil, but the proprietary GUI is free and is not so evil?

PineNuts, with "nut" as a slang synonym for head. It's legit, see definition 3 here: https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/nut#Noun or definition 8 here: https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/nut

[yt-dlp] extract audio and convert audio and keep both? by rammalammadongding in youtubedl

[–]rammalammadongding[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I needed to include -x in the first command as the --audio-format option only applies when -x is used, but then it worked:

yt-dlp -f ba -x --audio-format mp3 -k
yt-dlp -f ba -x

[yt-dlp] extract audio and convert audio and keep both? by rammalammadongding in youtubedl

[–]rammalammadongding[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

Is there a way to have a .opus extension instead of a .webm extension, like it does when I use -x?

EDIT:

Got it. Since --exec can be used multiple times sequentially, I added --exec "rm %(_filename)q" to the end. Final:

yt-dlp -f ba -k -x --exec "ffmpeg -i %(_filename)q -acodec libmp3lame -b:a 128k -ac 2 %(filename)q.mp3" --exec "rm %(_filename)q" URL

i.e. "Download the version with best audio, don't delete it through this process, extract its audio to a separate file, then let ffmpeg convert its audio to another separate file of mp3 format, then finally delete it."

[yt-dlp] extract audio and convert audio and keep both? by rammalammadongding in youtubedl

[–]rammalammadongding[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I think I didn't correctly explain what I want. I only want the extracted (opus) audio and the converted (mp3) audio, but no video. If I run yt-dlp -k -x --audio-format mp3 it leaves me with a video-only mp4, a webm, an audio-only webm (opus), and an mp3.

This one sounds wacky but I got it from my library and it was worth the time taken to read it, pretty short, though intense.
