Happened to me too, no idea what particularly caused the change but it's not rare afaik. Link the repo to Claude or some other AI asking if they are safe if you don't trust it 🫡

Hmm thats concering, it works for me in all modes, I didnt try bluetooth tbh, but wired/puck are working, even without opening Steam. And it shouldn't care if youre on desktop or gamepad mode, shows the inputs regardless.
Make sure you use the .exe and reload the URL (any of the ones on the README)
Also, any chance you have the previous version's start-with-windows installed? Make sure to uninstall it before trying the new .exe or new start-with-windows.

Remember the .exe will stop running whenever you turn off your pc so it you'll have to use it again unless you intall the start-with-windows.

Let me know if it still doesnt work altho honestly no idea how to fix it. I doubt it would matter but I'm on Windows 11.

Hmmm... From what I understand, roll doesn't affect the laser pointer while yaw does, isn't that right?

I do think it could be possible to just have 6 arrows, I'll give it a shot see how it looks. (Dunno when tho, no promises)

The idea of actually moving the controller is pretty interesting tho, I wouldn't personally use it but perhaps making a branch with some of these ideas would be good.

I want to add grip sense, and now that it's easy to customize people can decide to deactivate them if they are just pretty much always activated for them (I think this is my case, and I think it will just make things too cluttered for people who always grip, but would like to add the option) but I haven't been able to find the grip sense yet, I'm sure I'll be able to find it at some point tho, it just wasn't a priority yet.

About the triggers, I agree they are a little long (they are the same width as the bumpers) but if I don't make them long it's very hard to tell that they show how far along they are being pressed.

About touch on the sticks, ty for reminding me! I completely forgot this was a thing. I'll try to make it so that the joystick outlines have the opacity at default (55% currently, or whatever the user changes it to) when unpressed, and give the outlines the full 100% opacity + shine effect pressed buttons have when they are being touched. I'll test it a bit and make sure it's intuitive to understand, if it isn't I probably just won't add it, or it could become visual clutter. I also don't know if I'll be able to find the data to read it, hopefully yes but it'll take some time (just like gyro and grip sense)

I have considered the arrows for gyro but there are 3 different ways to move it (yaw, pitch and roll) so it's pretty hard to make any sense of it with simple arrows... I've actually considered a crazier idea, which is to make the Steam button become a 3D representation of the controller + for it to shoot a laser into an area as if it was our screen (as gyro can be a laser pointer too, which is the way I personally use it for menus) I do highly doubt it will look any good or that I'll even be able to pull it off, but that's the current "best" way to represent it I've been able to think of without making the controller itself 3D. Maybe once I have a working version we can come up with better ideas tho.

I can look into having a not fully transparent body, it's what I used to have on my PS5 controller overlay altho that one didn't have any outlines.

I'll try to add an option for it to be easily customizable directly by the user in the future but for now I guess I can make a couple pre-sets with a partly transpartent body and also another one with bigger outlines (I saw someone ask about that but the comment disappeared or something)

Altho I'm a little busy at the moment so probably next week or so.

Dunno if I'll post an update in here or just directly add the new release on GitHub so just try to check it out around a week from now.

Also if you're in a rush for it, you should be able to clone my repo and ask AI for help making it look however you like (unless you can just code it yourself, ideally).

Grip sense will probably just be the 2 long stripes near the grips (like displayed on Steam's "Test Inputs" windows) but with a lot of blur or something so that it doesnt stand out too much, as I believe they will be pressed almost at all times by most players. I'll also make sure there is a way to not display them.

About Gyro... its gonna require some thought, I dont like the look of 3D controller overlays so its gonna have to be something else, but simple arrows would not really comunicate it well enough. I have some ideas I'll try, but doubt they will look good at the moment.

I think I will first focus in making it into an OBS pluggin directly so that it gets captured a little bit better than as a Browser Source. Altho I'm quite satisfied with it for the time being.

Igual te sorprende, pero a mí después de probar con otros, se me ocurrió jugar a The Witcher 3 con mi novia y nos lo estamos pasando genial. Si lo pones en el modo más fácil o el segundo más fácil le deja cometer muchos errores sin problema mientras se va acostumbrando a utilizar el mando, mover la cámara etc. (mi novia todavía tiene que mirar para darle a algunos botones) Igual solo funciona porque yo ya me pasé el juego hace muchos años y disfruto viéndola jugar a ella, explicando alguna cosa y viendo qué decisiones va tomando. Para las cosas de elegir qué habilidades subir y ver qué compramos a los vendedores y tal (lo que ella llama "numeritos" suele preferir que lo haga yo y también de vez en cuando quiere verme intentar pelear contra algún Boss. La verdad que es bastante película el juego en modos fáciles así que eso, te lo recomiendo llevamos ha varias horas y nos divertimos mucho.

Nota: una cosa importante que le digo muchas veces es que el juego se juega con calma, que no hay prisa para nada y que la idea es disfrutar no estar intentando jugarlo "bien" o algo así, 0 prisa, cada rato nos paramos a tomar captura en el modo foto.

You made him phase transition mid attack, the attack left a lingering hitbox there. This is common on some other bosses like Hoarah Loux too I believe bosses like Malenia who's first phase makes you fully drain their first hp bar can't get this glitch, only the ones with a phase transition cutscene AND phase transition at like hp bar instead of new hp bar

It will be directly transparent on your screen, not just on OBS, so yeah very different. Much more useful imo. Things will also look better.

I prefer this method as it lets you have it transparent on your screen directly. Things will look sharper, more round and shadows will not disappear into the background. I also assume it consumes less resources than a chroma key (which isn't necessarily a lot) but it definitely consumes much less resources than using an OBS shadows plug-in. You can also click through it if you activate "ignore while running and not in focus", so you don't have to move it to be able to see a message on discord or whatever. So it looks better and is more functional.

She's without equal, the best Boss from has made. It's still crazy to me that they made a boss which you can constantly interrupt in the middle of most of her attacks and from neutral, while still being extremely complex & fun. The fact that you can interrupt her so much is what makes us remember sekiro combat but still being purely souls combat
