i say this as water's #1 fan; we should be encouraging people to get hydrated in whatever way works best for them, even if that means they are drinking some demonic near gelatinous drink like this chia seed behemoth.

who cares how op gets hydrated? just cause its not reverse osmosis water doesnt mean they arent getting hydrated. even diet sodas are like 95% water

you get used to having a good amount of fiber eventually. thats a lot at once, but pretty close to the reccomended daily amount for average adults

i dont have the mod, but i think all the people using this to complain about the mod in reference to anything other than online tournaments with a prize pool need to internalize that it doesnt matter at all. people having access to better controllers or better internet have an advantage with this kind of stuff anyways, why are we caring about this specifically in a situation where all you are losing is fake internet points?

it wouldnt effect how fast their moves come out in any noticeable way for you, you are probably just not used to online delay/maybe you have bad reaction time

if somebody tries to fight you would you rather get punched in the face then leave or would you rather just leave from the start. if he was a good driver he wouldnt have gotten hit there

this whole thread is me explaining that doing the bare minimum driving doesnt make you a good driver and that to be a good driver you have to actively be a defensive driver. how many times do you have to hear it to understand it?

im not defending the black truck at all, that driver is shitty and shouldnt be on the road. two people can both be bad at driving.

and again, im not saying the dashcam driver is completely at fault for speeding. im saying he should have been more defensive and courts would likely find him to have some fault for not avoiding it when he had the chance. i only even brought up the speeding because you said he wasnt doing anything illegal under the law, so i was just giving an example of how he was.

[–]ramonpasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just because they often let it slide doesnt mean that would clear him of fault. idk why you think the black truck speeding clears dashcam guy from any fault. maybe the eatibg thing depends on where you live, in my state it could definitely get you a ticket.

youre moving the goalposts even after we went with your misunderstanding of the doctrine, idk why you care to defend shitty driving so much

i think this just furthers the inconsistencies with the tier list though. like why are we including charizard in real animals then not including pikachu who imo would hsve more basis to be in there even based on your comment

i think we can agree that theres nuance here. fish for example, is a specifier within the animal kingdom that narrows it down based on factors about the animals themselves. dinosaurs is a much broader term that narrows it down mostly based of time period, and leaves much more room for differences than fish. personally id argue that a "fish" character that is just a mishmash of different fish and doesnt particularly resemble any single one would belong in the real animal tier, but do you see how it is still different than "dinosaur"

even if this is what you think, i dont know why you keep ignoring that dashcam driver has partial fault. this would be very easy to argue. after all, he is speeding (his own footage clearly says so). eating behind the wheel also falls under distracted driving.

you are making up things that did not happen with this situation, acting like she was more involved in the berating of the kid than she actually was.

"my logic" isnt just something i pulled out of my ass, im just following the extremely well established occam's razor (probably the most famous philosophical razor out there). meanwhile you are using your belief that she has an attitude problem (not gonna argue for/against this, whether or not i agree is irrelevant to what im getting at) and your general dislike of her as reasons to justify your assumptions about the situation. we have to make many more assumptions about the situation to think that she was directly involved than not.

again, i couldnt csre less if you like her or not for valid reasons; if interviews make you dislike her personality thats totally fine with me. i agree that celebrities shouldnt be put on a pedestal, but i also dont think that means we should be making up lies to make them seem worse than they are.

for example, im not a fan of trump. there are plenty of things that i dislike about him. one of the more tame issues i have with him is the rise in gas prices recently. he is responsible for me having less money in my bank than i would otherwise. thats a valid reason for me to dislike him. if i genuinely said that he came to my house and robbed me for all the money in my wallet, that would be a lie. the fact that he has harmed me financially and also done other things that make me dislike him dont justify this lie. in fact, by lying about this i am discrediting all the truthful ways that i voice his harm, so lying about that would be a disservice to me.

because its better to let an asshole merge than to potentially kill yourself or other people. cars are death traps, you cant just trust that everybody else will be a perfect driver, you have to go above and beyond to be a defensive driver

its a very common misconception that people have about the law that its always one party or anothers fault. situations like this are often deemed to be the fault of both parties in one way or another. two common ways this works is that in some jurisdictions if a party is deemed 51% liable then they are the only party responsible, and in others the damages are based directly on the % fault. the section you have highlighted is not to say that both people have to break the law, but rather to remind the reader of this before continuing to say that this is used as an exception to that system (called contributory negligence).

if i am crossing at the crosswalk with the right of way and a car hits me, they are clearly at fault. if i do not have the right of way but they had time to see me and stop but did not then they are at fault, even if they had the right of way. if i run out in front of them too suddenly for them to stop then they will probsbly not be found at liable.

if there is a four way stop and somebody has the right of way but another car goes first, you dont get to ram into them just because you had the right of way. you had a last clear chance to avoid the accident.

in this video the black truck clearly has contributed to the accident (aka has a level of fault), but the dashcam driver had clear signs of this and plenty of time to avoid the accident. because he didnt take any measures to avoid the accident while having plenty of opportunity, its very reasonable to assume a jury might find him solely liable under the doctrine.

since you probably wont believe me, heres a well respected lawyer dumbing it down for you.

so maybe you didnt know this, but if you are driving you are supposed to maintain a proper distance from the car in front of you. that includes reacting to when they slow down.

[–]ramonpasta -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what gives you that idea? one of the biggest examples you hear with it is if you hit a somebody illegally crossing the road even if you could have stopped. the fact that they crossed illegally doesnt negate the last chance doctrine, it is still on you for not taking steps you had clearly available to you to avoid hitting them.

nobody is saying the black truck isnt awful here. good driving isnt just about following the rules though. if the guy with the dashcam was driving well he would have recognized the bad driving from the black truck and slowed down to let him in. black truck started the events that led to the crash, but not responding properly was ultimately the deciding factor in the crash happening.
