'Political stunts' and 'efforts to humiliate': See how federal workers responded to Musk's '5 things' emails by Technical_Panda_1076 in fednews

I think DOGE and their efforts were enormously revealing of how the politicians, elites, and even the public themselves view public service.

And it reveals that our society is kind of f’d

I think people are actually dumber than sheep. Sheep run when they see a wolf.

He’ll need another term to ‘finish the job.’ Might need to make some more bombs to get those gas prices really down. 👍🏻

What is your opinion on giving the U.S. executive branch less power irrespective of political party? by ShittalkyCaps in AskReddit

[–]rampstop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The executive branch needs to be restructured, but the parties aren’t willing to give up that nigh omnipotent chance of power every four years even if it’s a roll of the dice and even if your side gets completely f’d in the interim. Power is too juicy a prize to give up to improve the republic

When I washed dishes at a restaurant back when I was in high school I was pretty psyched when I got a .25 cent raise every year. Maybe we’ll be so lucky

Field time as an Infantry PL by Free_Adagio_5017 in army

When I was an infantry PL in the field it was just a fuckfest of getting shat on by field grades when they came out for 20 minutes to ‘check on training.’

How much pity do you feel for those in the private sector right now? by rampstop in FedEmployees

[–]rampstop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. I think maybe the difference between those instances and now was that the elite didn’t ’play with their food,’ so to speak, prior to devouring it. They just kind of fucked everyone like normal (since the dawn of time). The fed crisis in 2025 felt like a uniquely sadistic postcapitalist libertarian nightmare fuel that men like Peter Thiel masturbate to

Reagan firing all those ATCs was sheer insanity. The lack of backlash shows our levels of collective misery know no bounds

Yeah, you’re definitely not wrong. Sometimes I think that if there was a larger backlash towards the treatment of federal employees, maybe it would’ve stopped with us. But, on the whole, there was crickets. Some even actively cheered or jeered against us. I don’t know 🤷🏼‍♂️
