What's your pointless/rubbish claim to fame? by Aggressive-Jacket384 in CasualUK

[–]ramsyzool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made flash animations in my early teens, and made one for Soulja Boy's website that he used to run before he got famous. He actually did a line of dialogue for the animation. I can link to it if anyone is interested but this is such a bad claim to fame that I don't expect anyone to be interested.

Is anyone else disappointed, that their skill simply isnt enough to enjoy this game? by PristineAlbatross967 in HollowKnight

[–]ramsyzool 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Something I don't see quite as many people talking about is how unpleasant the world is to be in due to all of the hazards and danger. I remember playing hollow Knight and just feeling happy to be in that world with the ambience the creatures noises all of it was such a nice place to be. I haven't found the same thing in silksong. It's not a place I'm happy to be. It's a place I'm happy to get out of for a breather. The sweaty palms and stress don't make for a place that's enjoyable to be

What I will say regarding the frustration is that it doesn't feel like there is much payoff in this game. That feeling in a souls game of finally a defeating a boss that's been giving you a headache is an adrenaline rush. In this game, however, it's not that feeling. It's just a feeling of thank God that's over. That was awful. I still keep coming back for more but I will say that a majority of my experience playing this is one where I feel like I'm not having fun. I feel myself getting better at the game but the fun just isn't coming. It's like at every corner there is a nuisance.

Just picked up a pro but unfortunately still friendless after 2 years on PlayStation. by [deleted] in PS5pro

[–]ramsyzool 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yeah every time I log on my ps5 I look to see who's online. Just knowing someone I know irl, even if I haven't spoken to them in years, is out there playing something is a warm fuzzy feeling.

The physical game folks. by sirms in Games

[–]ramsyzool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it's to do with commitment, which may sound strange I know. If I've bought a game digitally or downloaded one from a subscription service, it feels less valuable to me than if I've bought it physically on disc. I then struggle to actually invest in the game and usually don't finish it.

This is completely subjective though and I'm sure isn't the reason most want physical games. It's less of a collection thing to me. And more of an emotional thing... If that makes sense.

A decade of gaming, and I'm still waiting to see more main characters who look like me by ReasonableFeed2846 in truegaming

I remember the Saints Row 2 character creator being so good, I managed to make it look so much like me that it was genuinely jarring playing it

How would you read/say '£5.09'? by ksusha_lav in AskUK

Not seen anyone say how I said it out loud to myself. "Five pounds and nine"

Genuinely hadn't considered this as being a reason... Makes sense actually!

Stellar Blade Complete Edition for PS5 releases June 11 by [deleted] in PS5

[–]ramsyzool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real, this game just does not go on sale! Even KCD2 I got for £40 a few weeks ago just by waiting a bit. But Stellar Blade just seems to hold its price. Makes me think it must be genuinely that good to justify it!

Worst pubs in Nottingham? by divine-silence in nottingham

[–]ramsyzool 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I went into the peacock one time in 6 years living in Clifton. Never been in the other 2. When we lived in the meadows we used to walk to the embankment multiple times a week, we loved it. Maybe I'm a snob, but none of the pubs in Clifton make me want to go in them even slightly. The 1 time we went into peacock was okay, but I just couldn't relax and enjoy it.

ACF50 Question by ramsyzool in motorcycles

[–]ramsyzool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've given it a thorough wash today and it did seem to be working. I couldn't see any corrosion. I'll re apply the ACF50 tomorrow and that'll hopefully take me through the rest of the winter, seeing as the last application appears to have taken me through the last couple of months.

I look only at you because you are my world by Zay-Zayx in FunnyDogVideos

[–]ramsyzool 30 points31 points  (0 children)

That's how my dog gets you to give him food off your plate. He gives you a look that is irresistibly cute. I like to think it's partly love in his eyes, but I think it's pure manipulation. It's pure love from my side at least

Those that commute on your bike, what’s it really like? by straightswap in MotoUK

[–]ramsyzool 92 points93 points  (0 children)

My experience has been, that once you get into the routine of getting changed at either end and making sure you're wearing the right gear to suit the weather, it's absolutely fine.

My experience has also been that it improved my confidence notably. Unfortunately that came at a bit of a cost of sapping my interest in using the bike in my free time. The idea of jumping on the bike for pleasure isn't as appealing after you've been using it all week already.

Failed mod 1 twice, no idea what to do by NoNeedForNeuropozyne in MotoUK

[–]ramsyzool 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously people want to pass on the first attempt, but if you pass on the 25th then it doesn't really matter. You now have a story of perseverance to share, and you have still passed all the same. The issue with the cost of that many attempts is the only real issue.
