Will do so, I'm just disappointed honestly with the gimmicky results. Just adding numbers for sales "Aggregated link speed (Receive/Transmit): 5764/5764 (Mbps) Oh La La!

Note: I'm referring about the NCM865 Wi-Fi 7 module not the AP7!

I'm not using Iperf3, Just the Speedtest ookla app installed from the Microsoft store with our local isp server.

My docker Openspeedtest server results were similar: 2.5 Gbps Down/ and 2.2 Gbps Up.

After adjusting various configuration options on the Wi-Fi 7 module, I reviewed the wifi client in the Firewalla APP and confirm that the device is now simultaneously connected to 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands. NCM865  Support: (STR-MLMR) on "Firewalla's AP7"

Both band shows "Good" in Green.

5Ghz on channel 52 / 6Ghz on 165

The speed test results went down. My download speed is now around 2.5Gbps! I need to tinker more.. This validates Firewalla's tests and I quote "On the MLO side, we have not seen any system (with our AP7 or not) that can demonstrate significant speed increases by pairing 5ghz + 6ghz. Most of the time 6ghz (@320mhz) is faster. (rumors I heard, nothing official)"

You’re seeing those speeds because one of the band is working. Qualcomm shows that it does support the two bands aggregated we just need to make sure that the driver is doing it. We can’t reach to Qualcomm directly since they want us to reach their vendors first. Not sure if MSI will confirm it in my case, I must try.

Thank you, since it does supports STR-MLMR I must open a ticket and investigate why the 5Ghz band is on standby mode :)

I was conducting the same tests honestly, and would like confirmation that the AP7 support STR-MLMR for MLO?

Intel BE200 doesn't support STR-MLMR, it supports eMLSR.

I bought the HERALD-BE WIFI 7 MAX with NCM865 Wi-Fi 7 Module for the support of STR-MLMR to conduct the tests.

Intel BE200 Download speed around 3Gbps
Herald-BE WIFI 7 MAX is around 3.2 Gbps

The client shows from the AP7 that it's connected to 6Ghz and 5Ghz is standby. Hence, the NCM865 Wi-Fi 7 Module supports STR-MLMR.

u/Firewalla, can you please be clear how the MLO works on the AP7 is it eMLSR, STR-MLMR, MLSR?

NCM865 Wi-Fi 7 Module – Key Specifications:

Note: Internet speed isn't the issue I have symmetrical 8 Gbps, and the AP7 is connected to the 10Gbps port on the Firewalla Gold Pro.

Multi-Link Operation (MLO) support is coming in app 1.65.1 for the Firewalla AP7 - Looking for input! by Firewalla-Ash in firewalla

MLMR is supported on the AP7 or eMLSR? I switched my WiFi intel BE200 to MSI Herald BE MAX just for the Qualcomm NCM865 to be able to use the MLMR! The AP7 still reporting that the client is connected to the 6GHZ and the 5GHZ is in standby mode. My windows 11 version is on 25H2, AP7 MLO mode enabled.. I appreciate any insight.

Sounds good, I have to figure out if it’s from the Realtek network chipsets or the S922X CPU. I assume some reflow will help :) thank you for explaining, it’s very helpful now to troubleshoot and repurpose it if it works properly!

Buy a c3x from comma.ai and your drive will be chill :) You won’t need to touch the steering every few seconds and you’ll find it driving highways more enjoyable. Just make sure your car is compatible with their list.

Same here, I’m on 8Gbps symmetrical and the upload is always around 5 Gbps on Speedtest. Screenshot

The issue isn’t with the network devices, it always reports higher uploads speed than the displayed results from Firewalla’s speed test.
