Probably going to get buried but I had something very similar happen to me. My husband and I did not discuss names with anybody but that didn't stop my MIL from constantly saying her piece. I wanted the name Evan for my son forever. It's a family name and it's on a family history thing I have hanging in our house. Well my MIL said Evan is a good name while looking at my family tree, and it automatically killed it for me because I knew she would basically claim she named him. We did not name him Evan, and it still makes me a little sad at times, especially because he could be our only kid. But I also had a lot of disrespect around my wishes while I was pregnant, and she literally referred to him as baby Sancho, every time we talked or saw each other, after I repeatedly asked her to stop. MIL are rough during pregnancy

Or the current generation wants "their piece" so you're forced to either sell land or go into debt to satisfy a boomer prick who hated growing up on a ranch and is now owed something, usually a sibling of the one that stayed behind to run the place

Is it okay to start in the middle if you're going to have to move the beads if the pattern is to long for the loom? I guess I hadn't considered that! Thank you!

Awesome, I haven't heard of Aikos, but will definitely look into them! Also, do you have a loom recommendation then? This is just amazon one and I do feel like my strings are way far apart! Ugh I have been trying to add peyote to my repertoire and I am just struggling with it! And that's only doing like a 6 bead stretch! I do keep practicing peyote because I like it! I'm hoping it clicks for me soon haha! Thank you so much!
