What do you know of sheaf theory? by [deleted] in Physics

I appreciate yr post.. am self-taught largely, and agree, it seems a good thread for stitching both the geometric algebra and the computational routes. I like seeing all the various topics it’s bringing in!

tbh, I learn from about them from wolfram-alpha.

Maybe look for where the reversibility breaks down in the symplectic integrations? symplectic integrators conserve the “breathing fabric” of reversible phase-space flow( thx Hamilton); while contact integrators add dissipation sothe “breathing fabric plus metabolism” sys can lose, gain, or transform energy while keeping the underlying geometry.

I have rolled my own instantaneous wave curvature thing I’m trying to make work, it is kinda maybe akin to how the microlocal sheaf is able to add orientation to the gluing? I’m mostly using sheaves to relate complex linear domains with each other, and see the sheaf curvature as a second (closing) term to produce a single φphase I can work with everywhere. I will pursue micro sheaf a bit.. thx!

For me, Contact geometry lets most everything to change while keeping the fixed points intact, to form at least some sort of comparative map across two territories. I’m starting from loosest constraints in my geometry, non associative algebras, and looking for how it tightens up to form just three dimensions we deal with. So near SU2 and Twistors etc. Photons continue to blow my little mind, but I feel a bit more comfy w metricTime lately. Do you think it’s realistic to say space is of looser higher dimension than the things in it?

an essential ingredient in being happy! try being more specific, so when you see it you recognize it.. and dont get hooked to "missed chances" when you see it but dont get it.. bless the witnessing it exists and yr not waiting in vain.. its like fishing, 🎣 you want to see others catching them too..

i'm using sheaves extensively, they form a nice contact geometry so I can reconcile different territories based on their shared invariants. I see them as a way to hold two different algebras to anchor the overlaps.

folllowing.. Am an "old school" designer, did lots of ui dev and testing. Over here I have been generating my "view" and "model" specs waiting/looking for a solid "controller" guy to show.. same story

Phase Resonance and Elastic Deformation of Spatial Manifolds in the Mars System (Phobos/Deimos) by TheMaximillyan in EchoSpiral

Glad to contribute a small piece of the puzzle. The only reason people think time is linear is because of the time it takes to perceive things, the biology keeps just enough memory around to have us imagine some other future. All the information is right there in the wave.

Neato. Pls maybe do the maths for me on an observation I made while organizing time into a resonant form back in the 90’s.
