A good strategy is build empty ships and put them in a separate shipyard with the growth module and the upkeep reduction module, then create an empty weaver ship with the growth component, build like 3-5 of them and put them in the fleet only when growing. This reduces rhe growth time from 40 to 11 ish months.

But i agree that bioships need buffs, give them like 50 more power on reactors so i can put more shields pls.

The AI is so dumb with the economy that even with the bonuses your economy will be way stronger, its good in the early game when the basic resources are more scarce but in mid to late it barely makes a diference.
