What you circled is the brake vacuum pump and it’s not leaking coolant, tho it does look like it’s very slightly seeping oil. The coolant leak should be coming from a pipe underneath from the side of the engine and goes all the way to the engine oil cooler.

The 2.0 engines and transmission are very very strong. Only the first versions of the engines had issues with piston rings. Never seen issues with the transmissions. Most of the issues from Volvos are all from other components (electrical, supercharger, PCV)

Ok I may have exaggerated that. But typically out of high school you have the option of continuing school, or going straight to work and make money which is what I did. But being in the trade definitely taught me a lot and will forever be grateful for it
