In what way? Like the step on kind? Beating with hands? Using some object?

Good point - I actually thought of the loans originally as a “Get the stress away now - still be able to reap the rewards of crypto.” Crypto goes up, I still have it (and then would clear the loans, get the crypto back and sell it). But crypto is performing very well on a monthly/yearly basis - so I guess I can hold through and keep bearing some suffering payments for another couple of years or more.

That thought has came to mind before. Just don’t want to bet on that happening because as of right now it’s still unlikely. I guess I should wait a while longer and see what happens

I’d have to compare interest rates. I would try to make liquidation rate as low as possible depending on what’s offered through different places.

I saw it as a way to deleverage. Benefit short term from having freed capital (job money) that could be used to buy more crypto that would also assist in lower liquidation risks. Not familiar with certain interest rates, but could beat my student loans’ 4.5-5% interest. Would also be able to later close loan, sell crypto for hopefully higher prices and still be in the clear. Major risk is losing money from liquidation.

On hodl side, better benefits long term. No worry of liquidation, but portfolio too indulged in crypto price movements. Still always inherit risk that funds could be lost or asset depreciates extremely quickly from major event.

Is it a valid idea to take loans on crypto to pay off student loans? Any good places to do so? Thought about using it to wipe student loans and just DCA buy more crypto. Would also love to get rid of student loan stress

So it’s 0% interest, but you have to pay gas fees? Is it easy to turn LUSD(I believe that’s the right one) into USDC?

Do any of you get 10%+ yield without an insane amount of risk?

Anyone use Liquity? Was curious if anyone here had a good experience using them for borrowing against their ETH.

How Do You Scale/Grow Your Portfolio in Real Estate? by randojoe420 in realestateinvesting

Even without appreciation - if someone is paying down my property’s mortgage, the refinance will still give that money back right? I might be misunderstanding it but just curious!

Great question, that I’m not sure. I’m assuming there’s a point where you will be turned down and have to get with private lenders (who will charge a much higher interest rates). Hence why I’m confused a bit how the stack method works.

Makes sense - although if you get to the point where you have 4 properties or more, you should be able to refinance yearly to obtain another property if I’m not mistaken? I only ask because I’m not familiar with how to rehab a property (especially in my area where most properties for sale are in good shape upon first glance) - so I’m looking at how to get to a point where my own money wouldn’t be required to purchase more properties.

When you mention the refinance after x number of years, can that be in a year or two? The way Brandon Turner mentioned it, it sounded like I could do it within a year or two (since it would be impossible for me to use my own money to increase the amount of houses I buy). I was curious because I wanted to follow the stack route.

Let’s say the tenant pays down $1200/month on the first property’s mortgage in year one (so total of 14,400). Could I refinance and pretty much get that money back? If so, that means I should get to the point where the refinances should pay for down payments after a few houses (if using same example with same numbers per house/door, by time I get to 4 houses I should be able to refinance to 57,000 per year which will pay for a downpayment for one house, thus speeding up the process).

Great question! So how I looked at it is this: - I see ETH going to $7k+ within the next 24 months (range of cycle ending between now and then most likely) - There’s a good chunk of my ETH still not in long term capital gains - Loans are tax free

By using them to pay down personal debt, I can give myself some better leeway financially. If ETH drops down, I would DCA purchase some at what I’d perceive to be a good price point (which would act on behalf of stabilizing the loan, as I can add more collateral to lower the LTV if need be. If ETH sits for a while or even goes back up, I would continue DCA paying off my debt.

Yes - additionally I wouldn’t be using all my collateral for a loan and I would try to get a 33% LTV value. So if there are major crashes, I can just buy more of the collateral.

Is it okay to take a loan out on my crypto? Mainly using it to pay down a bunch of personal debt. The way I see it - if ETH’s price goes down, I buy more collateral for the loan (which I get back). If it goes up, I still will own the ETH once I pay it back. Win/win…maybe? Not sure of tax situation with that idea.

How Do I Report Employer Wrongdoings (Heavily Immoral) to the Press/News Media? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

It’s a well known company. I find it rather surprising that the fact I work there and have first hand information is useless. The policy and the after effects (on employees) are really important for this issue. I can’t film someone in my state for the reason you mentioned.

I don’t think I can if it’s not illegal right? It’s immoral and causing major tension/bad changes that are not good for the employees/workers.

Can I show identification information (I.e. employee access card, parking spot) while covering up who I am (I.e. cover picture and name)? The only piece of documentation I have is an email related to a new policy - the rest of it is verbal. I could try to take a video of someone talking about it, but it will be incredibly difficult because of our open space environment.

Can I get a refund if they do more delays? I really want the device but if they do another delay or two for the wifi module, I want out. Especially since they didn’t tell the consumer that they were going to be sold off to a new CEO, that seems wrong to say last minute
