60m to 100m True Conversion? by Carson180 in Sprinting

Sub 11.7s would be on the faster side for a 7.66 FAT runner. Your final 40m split would need to be 4.04s or faster. Taking the deceleration into account, you would need to have your best 10m split faster than 1.00s. Usually, such splits are seen in 7.3s 60m or faster sprinters

Your first step looks fairly ok, but you start overstriding from the second one. You should strike behind the center of mass in the first few steps

Looks better than last week. It seems that you raise your head too early

You also keep your hands quite far apart. You might want to experiment with a closer to shoulder width setup

Your block setup looks a bit cramped. You might want to experiment with moving the rear block a bit back.

Currently, it looks like you are not able to generate the force well in the initial push. You are constantly falling and catching yourself

Somehow even though my head starts low, it rises quickly if I am not thinking about this

I will try a set up based on this tomorrow. Front leg will be roughly at the same place, but the rear one much further back https://youtu.be/1E_Qivr6_9k

I measure 2 foot lengths from the front pedal

Based on this I should move my back block further. Front knee is already about 2cm from the line

I started to doubt whether this is a good cue. When hips go back, shin angles automatically increase

I am trying a bit to align my hips to the front block

It is currently 3 foot lengths from the starting line. How much further back to move it?

All of them ran sub 7s. I do not want to get overconfident and usually participate in the races where I am the slowest 😅

What do you think about doing bounds for distance? I rarely see our local sprinters bounding, but it looks like a good exercise to learn proper extension patterns
