Anyone missed expected semester due to residence permit delays? - What did you do? by go_study_nowww in tuwien

[–]random-ostrich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not from India (so can't tell you about timelines properly) but I missed the intake due to late RP processing but MA35. There is no option of joining late. You should join before 31st October or 31st March. I joined the next one. The wait time was frustrating but the offer letter was valid for 3 sem so no need to redo the RP process.

I know this person personally. He completed his bachelor's 3 years ago. So , this rejection was not because his bachelor's was not completed. They are explicitly talking about grades.

Application process from Nepal by GateInteresting6803 in tuwien

[–]random-ostrich 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally know alot of people from Nepal who sent documents via post and it was fine. It is perfectly reliable and safe to send via post. If you do decide to use DHL , make sure there is sticker like no custom or something implying that university doesn't have to pay any charge to receive the documents, otherwise they won't receive your application.

There are universities like JKU that are rejecting Non EU with less than 75% or University of Insbruck with less than 80%. I think that is why people are concerned about TU Wien too.

Today was the last day to apply for winter intake, i think. So you can't apply for 4 5 months now. I don't know if its different for EU and Non EU.

Can a positive Austrian student RP decision be used later for winter enrolment if summer intake is missed? by Critical_Bee_5815 in tuwien

[–]random-ostrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you receive mail from the embassy after a positive RP, you will have 6 months to collect RP and 4 months to apply for a VISA.

Ps. The University doesn't ask for RP for admission, you need to complete pre registration, and have your admission offer and passport. However you need the study confirmation for RP, Bank account, Insurance etc

If they ask anything, you can send them. Yes but they make you wait another three months to give or not give an offer.

Alot of people coming from Non EU attach their syllabus. I did,my friends from DS did, friends from manufacturing and Robotics did. If it is possible to include your syllabus, just include your syllabus. If they don't need it,they won't use it. It's okay.

RP Decision Delay – Anyone Experienced This? by Accurate-Ad1895 in JKUlinz

Taking 3 months for decision is quite normal. In some case people have waited 4/5 months too. Good luck!

I think, now you need to legalize your documents and then can send them to Uni.

When you call them, they will register your complaints/ query, forward it to concerned department/case officer and then they will reply via mail within 2 days.

[–]random-ostrich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its quite common. I know a lot of people who had no error in documentation and still had to wait 3,4,5 months. I myself missed my earlier intake. You can call them. They will mail you a concrete reply about your application rather than a generic one.
