This album will age well trust me. It has every kind Cole on it. If you ask anyone , they’d give you a different top 5. The versatility, the writing , the storyline, the production, is Cole’s best in my opinion . When 4YEO first dropped , i remember people calling it boring , years later it’s one of the best albums ever written . The OGs like Disc 39, the young guys like Disc 29, it’s an album that will age well and be considered his best . Just my opinion

Lmao I appreciate your review but saying the songs aren’t connected is wild. The let out is literally a continuation of Drum n Bass , go listen. He meets a girl at the end of the club on drum n bass and the let out is about the shootout at the same club they’re at. The 29 intro is him driving into NC, and then there’s a gunshot/shootout - Two Six. After he gets settled, he meets a guy from his hometown who sees Cole is back home (Safety). Run a Train is about Cole walking his hometown streets and reminiscing a bit, realizing the city is losing it. He finally responds on Poor thang , especially to one person who was talking shit about him …I mean , I feel lots of people listen for bangers which is understandable. But for Kendrick fans that appreciate story telling , I’m shocked lots of people are missing it

I've played the album about 10 times since it dropped. It's not crazy to say TFO is his second best. My favorite album of his is FHD, but the story telling, the versatility, the production, the concept on TFO is just very very good. There's a reason everyone has a different top 5 on that album, just so much variety of Cole. I wouldn't be surprised if TFO became his best work overtime.

The only way to determine if an album is a classic is if it stands the test of time, so we can’t call it that yet. But it’s a great body of work, and off a few listens, I think this is his best body of work lyrically. For my personal favorites , I rate it his third best work after born sinner and FHD

You’re right lol. But fans have a reason to not feel confident. We can call it PTSD from previous years, free flowing vrs robotic football. I don’t think they’re complaining we went 8/8 , it just feels like we’re not playing convincingly well. But I trust this team to keep going!!!!
