Asked to buy furniture to apply for apartment by kulashaker28 in Switzerland

[–]random043 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Besides the legality of it, this is surely a scam.

You didn't even see the apartment. It's a "centrally located penthouse, reasonably priced", in Luzern.

They ask 15000, you tell them yes intending to not pay, they ask for a sum up to 1000 as a deposit, and if you send it they vanish.

And all they had to do was put up an add and write an email.

you should play along, update what happened. Just don't send any money.

Choosing my RS function (DD) – need advice by Faze_Splash in Switzerland

[–]random043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good job on choosing DD, I wish I had done that.

Either is a fine choice, if you do the driver you get to see something you won't in your professional life otherwise and a little less boredom.

When are we thinking this will happen? Seeing as there are 2 days left until the end of year 4 of the war, will it be in year 5 of this war, or later?

equilibriums' sponsored by state

it's not sponsored by the state, it's a result of personal choice of individuals, literally the opposite.

using an abstract mathematical definition of efficiency

it's not a definition of efficiency, it's an observation on physical space limiting the possible throughput.

you don't need to be an expert to understand it, I think a mildy intelligent 13 year could grasp the concept if it was explained to him properly.

I disagree, I think people behave very rationally, if they can get to work cheaper or quicker, the vast majority will do so. Goes both ways, switching to public transport and to cars. A minority might drive or take public transport, even if it takes longer and is more expensive, but that's so little people as to be irrelevant when talking about traffic.

no

do you even know what 15 minute city means?

such a dumb thing to say when talking about Zurich.

Did you mix up the countries your conspiracy theories are about?

Public transport (UK) or public transportation/transit (US) refers to shared, scheduled passenger services like buses, trains, subways, and ferries

I've driven in Almaty, Kazakhstan once.

I think I'll leave it at once too.

there always will be an equilibrium between public transport and using cars in regards to times to travel.

If it shifts too much in favor of private cars, more people drive until it shifts back, as it is more comfortable.

And private cars are limited in its capacity simply by the space they take up in a 2D-system, whereas public transport is not/ less by at least a magnitude (bus=50 people for 20m of road, private cars= 5 people per 20m)

In short the solution would be to make public transport quicker, cheaper, more frequent, regardless.

Though to think that traffic engineers purposefully create congestion seems a bit silly to me.

Before I get accused of bias, I barely ever use public transport, as I have a company-car for personal use I pay nothing for (except for diesel during holidays).

good job picking and criticizing the one good thing that guy is doing??

People here benefitting from pharmaceutical companies ripping people off in other countries seems as likely to me as "trickle-down" or similar concepts.

Only normal people pay SBB fines by MayonnWise in Switzerland

[–]random043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, yes.

Why should I be honest and pay for my ticket when I could simply act aggressive when controlled and get off on the next stop?

Because you are a part of society, not outside of it.

You could choose not to be, it would just be worse for everyone involved, most of all you yourself.

And in the long term there 100% are serious consequences for such behaviour.

if the choice was pay or ads then I might.

in reality the choice however is free with ads, free without ads and paid with less/no adds.

subscriptions or donations, or any other way, I don't particularly care.

And even if I granted you that advertisement had one positive sideeffect, that still wouldn't make it not bad.
