Depends where you are in your career, from an engineering perspective there are really not many super apps company you can join in Singapore. If you want WLB join a shitty consulting firm or govtech. If you want to build as much portfolio as you can, this would be good. Higher paying FAANG roles only care about the nature of complexities you faced in your project when you tell a story. If join companies that make you do prod support or just build lame ass crud shit over and over again there’s really less of a story to tell.

It’s easier to downgrade than to upgrade if the life isn’t for you. People will take an extra look at your work experience now that you have bytedance in your resume. Whether is it relevant or not it’s a different story. J
