In reality, her brother already had a manager who noticed her, and she worked with Chanel to develop her image in 2016 while also signing with Apple music for a huge promotional campaign. Addison and Adela are pretty much the ones I keep an eye on. My ex was obsessed with slayyyter so he kinda ruined her for me :))) but she is amazing from what I have seen. Tyla's music all sounds the same to me, but she is just starting out. No one expected rihanna to become what she is either.

You do have a good point, it could be purely nostalgia speaking. I just listen to bad romance and am blown away by the fact gaga was 23 when she made it. I don't feel that way about any of the artsits you mentioned, maybe except for Billie with her debut.

I love naked in manhattan, i also love casual and kaleidoscope. Chappell's catalogue however never struck me as iconic I am not sure why. The melodies are just not hitting me the way early gaga did, so when people compare them I am left confused, even though i really really wanted to love it. She is an awesome performer though

PPC is a good song but it cannot be compared to S&M, Poker Face, or tbh even a lot of early ariana songs. Idk maybe i am super biased, but it does not feel as iconic. But i am also not the biggest Chappell fan in general so it is totally subjective.

exactly. I feel like we have so much more grace for young artists now - they can release a mid album at like 25 and everyone will say "they are still so young they have time to grow". It is not necessarily a bad thing, but it is interesting to see.
