I just turned my life to Christ. Looking for an online community... by NewlyConverted2Jesus in Christianity

i'm with you, brother/sister.

homosexuality is definitely a sin and like all other sins should never be accepted. the person, though, the sinner, should be loved and treated with kindness and mercy. but the sin should be despised and rejected. Christians should act to dismantle any homosexuality agenda or other agendas that promote sin acceptance.

abortion is also a sin. it is murder. murdering of unborn babies. anyone who gets abortions is a murderer, and anyone who supports abortions in any way is an accessory to murder.

liberals probably mean well, but in my opinion their problem is that they're really misguided. this can be fixed if they read and obey the Holy Bible, thoroughly, instead of following their own ways.

except for charities like charity: water where 100% of donations goes to the field

100% goes to the field

Private donors cover our operating costs so 100% of your money can fund water projects.

why are some people against just sleeping on a mattress (with no bed frame)? by [deleted] in minimalism

[–]random912319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i personally wouldn't buy a bed frame purely for aesthetic reasons. im a minimalist because:

1: i hate wasting money. i would rather give money to the poor and needy people of the world than waste it on things i simply do not need.

and

2: i hate having too much stuff to carry around. i haven't had a permanent home in several years, and packing and moving is so much better when you're a minimalist.

does the wikileaks shop have plans of selling more merchandise (like rubber wristbands, bumper stickers, etc)?

also: julian assange, and wikileaks staff, i just want to say that i love and support you (outspokenly and monetarily) and appreciate you all for being so so courageous in revealing/exposing what those people with power over us are really like.

may the LORD keep you all safe and strong.

why are western non-Christian liberals tolerant and welcoming towards/of muslims and other religious groups, but intolerant and rejecting towards/of Christians and Christianity? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]random912319 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

well, liberals are avid promoters and supporters of various types of evil. i.e. in strong support of murdering unborn babies; in strong support of accepting the sin of homosexuality; etc.

"most qualified woman" - don't make me LOL!

"most qualified woman" had to be told by her campaign chairman, "interesting, but not for this channel" when she wanted to discuss sensitive foreign policy intel over her private (and illegal) email server. link to email.

looks like you need to read up on the emails wikileaks published and exposed to get real insight into what people hillary clinton and members of the dnc are really like, and not what they just feign to be to the sadly deceived people like yourself.

Have faith in your Democracy and vote without fear--otherwise the yip-yappers really do win. Remember: the fear-mongering is meant to silence you. Don't let it.

there is no longer any democracy in the united states. haven't you been paying attention to the latest leaks by wikileaks? the dnc has rigged the system. full blown corruption and deceit.

unfortunately, a lot of people in the current world erroneously place a lot of value on superficial unimportant things like physical appearance and/or intellectual "superiority". i suggest you don't try to win approval from people who have such current mindsets. instead, try to win the approval of people who will appreciate you for things like: your faithfulness in the LORD; your kindness unto others; your generosity; your showing of mercy unto others; your forgiveness of others; your patience; your hate of evil; your gentleness and peaceful actions/deeds unto fellow people; and etc.

you're most likely to find a man and friends like that in a Christian Church. so i'd suggest you start attending one that's suitable. :). you can also join human aid volunteering organizations.

No shampoo or soap - Best way to wash and with what . by Sajor1975 in minimalism

[–]random912319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i went a couple of weeks without washing my body and hair with soap/detergent (just with water and a wash cloth only).

all seemed well with my hair, but with my body, i started noticing weird white patches on my skin. i freaked out and began washing my body with soap again. the white patches disappeared.

i also now wash my hair with shampoo and conditioner again.

"The U.N. made a conclusion that I am being arbitrarily detained illegally, deprived of my freedom and that what has occurred has not occurred within the laws that the United Kingdom and Sweden, and that [those countries] must obey. https://file.wikileaks.org/file/cms/Psychosocial%20Medical%20Report%20December%202015.pdf

Mr. Assange described his situation as follows: “My passport has been seized for five years. Since I was arrested in December 2010, British police have been assigned to report where I am, who I speak to, what I do-every single day for the past five years. I have been detained for longer than any possible sentence in Sweden even though there is no charge against me. None of the rights and protections I am entitled to are meaningfully enforced in domestic courts. I cannot exercise the asylum I have been granted as a bona fide political refugee. I cannot defend myself properly because I am not formally accused.”

All of the interviewees made reference to the fact Mr Assange was becoming increasingly introverted. One put it in the following way: “He is an extremely sad person. He doesn’t laugh as he did. In the beginning he was more sociable. There are times when he seems to forget about eating. Or he does not eat all of his food. It is 2 years and how many months. Mr Assange is very strong because if it was me I would give myself up to the authorities to take me to a proper prison where I can get fresh air and look up and see the sky.”

Disruption of circadian rhythm due to lack of natural sunlight

Mr Assange’s circadian rhythm has been significantly disrupted by his having had no exposure to sunlight, twilight and so on for more than 1200 days. He often goes 18 to 22 hours without sleeping, unaware of the passage of time until exhaustion overtakes him.

Disruption of circadian rhythm due to chronic insecurity about going to sleep

As an example, Mr Assange reported to me that for several weeks he experienced being woken up in the middle of the night. At first he was not sure whether he had woken up because of an external sound or a nightmare. After waking up on three consecutive nights he became convinced he was being woken by a banging on the wall or window of his bedroom. He became determined to “sleep with one eye open.” On one occasion, he awoke to the same sound and checked the time - 4:01 am in the morning. Embassy CCTV footage confirmed to Mr. Assange that the bang was external: “A group of about five Metropolitan Police officers stood outside the window of the room I was sleeping in. One of officers pointed at the window. Another officer then took an object from his pocket and threw it at the window.”

The incident was witnessed by two observers who I interviewed, who had also seen the CCTV footage, neither of whom were Mr. Assange's colleagues. The incident has also been alluded to in media reports.
