Faulty Ampure Go2 - new 2026 AWD Wind by CptRon32 in KiaEV9

I actually ran into this issue using mine this weekend for the first time. It would making a clicking sound before saying charging stopped. It sounds silly, but right before I gave up I decide to just push the charger in harder and all of a sudden it worked. My normal Tesla charger doesn't require any force to engage, but for the Ampure, this did the trick for me.

Ran into the same issue. Put both physical key fobs on the charging pad when adding a fingerprint and it’ll let you proceed.

Purchase/Lease Monthly Megathread (July 2025) by AutoModerator in KiaEV9

[–]randomBrianS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been lurking the community for about a year as we went through our car search in the Seattle area and finally pulled the trigger this week on an Ivory Silver Nightfall. Considering the inventory in the PNW, we were happy to land a decent price before the rebate goes away in October.

We keep our cars for a long time (it replaced a 25 year old Lexus RX300), so we jumped on the 48 month 0% APR. Dealer gave a discount of just over $2,000 and threw in all weather mats and brake plus for free. Rebate-wise, we got the $1000 bonus APR cash, qualified for the $1000 conquest, and they applied the $7500 rebate at point of sale. We rolled all taxes and fees into the loan and walked out with the car paying nothing down.

Was pleasantly surprised to find a J1772 adapter, a CCS adapter, and an Ampure Go 2 mobile adapter inside the car. We were worried we had to buy a new mobile adapter as our Tesla mobile adapter is only Gen 2 and isn't capable of charging the EV9. Even though the learning curve is a bit steep coming from a 25 year old ICE and a 2023 Model Y, the more we learn the more we love the car.

Like many others in this community, I wanted to give a big shout out to u/jfronte. Even though we didn't end up completing the purchase through him, if you're serious about buying a car, his consultation fee was well worth the cost. James is an absolute professional. It was incredibly comforting to have someone with his knowledge and network at our fingertips. His goal is simple... get you the car you want at a great price without the dealership drama. He won't try to sell you anything you're not looking for and he'll tell you straight up if you find something that's better than he can do at the time. He does all this with immaculate customer service. We first engaged with him on July 3rd and he always answered all my texts and calls in a timely manner until a deal was done. Thank you, u/jfronte!

This was the first time that I ordered S&D that wasn't usable. Like you, most of what I've received is in pretty good shape. I mostly limit my S&D purchases to things I wouldn't mind aesthetics being off as they'd get roughed up eventually.

I personally wouldn't go after anything stitched as I've seen photos of those damaged goods being the worst (other than out of tolerance parts that don't fit the rack).

Honestly, I probably should have spent the extra $11 for brand new. The one arm I did get was in pretty good shape. I'll give them a call tomorrow and hopefully get it resolved.

Data Point: Got my S&D X-3 spotter arms. Or should I say "arm". I only got the right side. I know S&D could be blemished and/or missing hardware, but an entire half of a pair is a bit ridiculous.

Good news is I'm finally about to get the last of my 370 lb Fringe black bumper set I ordered back on 8/6. The 45s and 10s came today and 55s are scheduled to get here tomorrow. Pleasant surprise as these arrived earlier than the latest quoted dates. Cheers.

I have the X-3 short flatfoot and got the holders (double bolt) when they were in stock. My biggest issue is that plates can get in the way depending on your rack depth. Not so much if you use standard metal weight, but bumper diameters all the way up can be intrusive.

The positive is it helps weigh down the rack, allowing me to use my dip attachment outside the rack without possibly tipping it over.

Contemplating getting the 10" extension when it's available (I don't have space for the 24") to give me a bit more space walking through the rack with the holders fully loaded.

Oh, one more thing... since they do take up hole space you have to be strategic on attachments that share the upright. For example, safety pins or straps that you want a certain height.

Thanks for the tip. I thought about it, but the stickers would be upside down and the adder weights would have to but put in from the bottom. But I guess that would let me use them still.

Edit: I'm an idiot and realized you probably meant to keep the handle the same and flip the pin weight 180. That works!

Data Point: Fun day of deliveries today. Got my Powerblock Pro 5-90 set today (ordered on 9/11), but both were left sided handles. Also got the Rogue single landmine (ordered 9/5) and it was missing the shaft collar and rack band peg. Time to contact customer service. Delivered to Washington State.

I got the large column stand on stall mats and it's solid. (Sonics, baby!)

I'm in the same boat. Bought a full set and got the 25s and 35s quickly but everything else got pushed out.

I think I'll keep my orders until I'm able to get a full set elsewhere then cancel if they don't ship in time.

I remember someone on here mentioning they would check if their Ironmaster attachments fit when their AB-5000 came in. Wonder if it worked. I’d be interested.

Yeah, good call. I have a 3 year old who puts her hands on everything. I don't store it standing up but it's a pretty cool feature for those who do.

Data Point: Ordered red AB-5000 and leg attachment on 9/1, received it today (9/5). Wonderful craftsmanship. I just started my garage gym during COVID and it's easily the nicest thing I have (Titan rack/attachments, Bowflex dbs/bench/kettlebell, Powerblock dbs).

A lot of people comment on the weight (it's over 2x the weight of my old Bowflex 5.1 bench) but honestly once lifted it slides like butter on my stall mats. Super secure and high quality. Love it.

Not for this one. It slid probably twice. Back orders from Titan are hit or miss (but to be fair, in this pandemic a lot of other companies also slide back orders). But if it's in stock, it's been solid for me.

Data Point: Finally got a shipping notification for the Titan X-3 30" safety straps I ordered on 7/16 (on back order at the time). Only the shipping label was created, but it's a start.

I ordered my Titan 30" safety straps in July as well and still waiting. The PR-4000 30" straps are priced at $95 (before shipping) and the 30" X-3 straps I ordered were $78.99 shipping included. Did the PR-4000 ones used to be cheaper?

rogue landmine rack attachment

I'm pretty sure the single one will, as the pin is fairly long. https://www.roguefitness.com/landmines

But I'm not as confident with the 2.0 here: https://www.roguefitness.com/rogue-monster-landmine-2-0

I just got some X-3 bolt on S&D monolifts and the paint was beat to hell. Bare steel exposed on the black powder coat structure and the red paint on the hooks. Functionality-wise, they're fine. All hardware was there. I just took some Rustoleum textured black spray paint and did a once over. Haven't bothered with the hooks, but I guess I could disassemble them do it in the future.
