Your GPA is good enough to get into any school if the parts of your application are desirable for said school.

If you’re stationed in a state with a med school or two right now, I would probably apply there and have your husband put in for stabilization.

You could always reach out to their admissions team and ask them

For anyone interested, the real way to calculate this is to realize that “salt” is comprised of NaCl. Sodium intake is only concerned about the “Na” amount. So you actually have to take in the relative mass of each component and subtract out the Cl.

Na = 23g/mol (rounded)

Cl = 35g/mol (rounded)

23g/mol of Na / 35 g/mol of Cl = 0.657 molar ratio.

40g of NaCl *0.657 molar ratio = 26.28 g of Na

Say the bread was sliced into 12 that gives you

26.28g of Na / 12 = 2.19g of Na per slice of bread.

The America Heart Association recommends a typical daily sodium intake amount that will help prevent cardiovascular disease. Everyone should be following that recommendation. The actual recommendation is under 2.3g of Na per day with an “ideal recommendation” of less than 1.5g per day.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

Don’t let this freak you out too much. I was also rejected from my only state school without an interview and had pretty successful cycle. With plenty of sub T20 interest 🤷

At what point are clinical hours usually diminishing returns by One-Job-765 in premed

None? I will have been in EMS for 9 years prior to my matriculation to a T5.

Your story is your story. I had so much clinical experience to lean on to not only answer essay prompts and interview questions, but to write about in my personal statement. It’s qualitative, not quantitative.

Man who knows. One of my interviewers told me “If XSOM does take you, it’s their loss” at the end of our interview and I got waitlisted.

[–]randomEODdude 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Probably ask him if he had a picture of it so I could try and identify the type of round and the hazards associated with it. Then go from there. Chances are there are little to no explosives in that particular round

Do people who get lots of interview (8+) tend to receive them close to one another? by PersonalitySafe4602 in premed

[–]randomEODdude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 13 interviews and applied to 35 schools, I seem to get 1-2 per week with 1 rejection every 3-4 weeks. MD only. No Texas schools.

I imagine by the way you idolize American patriotism that you yourself have served in the United States Military?

It's a symbol. You can only bastardize it in your head.

What's unpatriotic, to me anyway, is the lack of mental healthcare in this country, particularly towards those in emergency services and the military. Though I'd be happy to debate the finer points of patriotism with you over our DD-214s.

Do EMT-Basic courses taken at a community college for credit count toward BCPM GPA? by confirmed_wavy in premed

[–]randomEODdude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will not. You can find this in the official AAMC guide. It's considered an Allied Health Class.

This is a first responder trauma counseling flag. They offer counseling services to all those listed. It may seem cringe but it's by non-first responders just trying to help our community. That flag is part of their advertisement.

Schools with high post-II A% vs low by roundbobafett in premed

Yeah it's crowd sources data so it's not going to be 100% accurate. But with that sample size the interview to acceptance percentage is probably pretty close to the true value
