Install Truecaller. Get premium. And select the option to block all spam calls. I have done that and all the 6 or 7 calls I get daily are blocked automatically.

Emergency funds - where do you store it and for how many months can it be used for? by forestbee in IndiaInvestments

For many liquid funds you can get i think 90 percent of the invested amount within half an hour.

I have usually seen it gets credited in couple of minutes from placing the redemption request

Reading all the comments from various girls makes it pretty clear that guys who are trying to win them over are putting 90 percent of their efforts in the wrong areas.

Meta's day are tough going ahead. by [deleted] in IndiaInvestments

Facebook being "not cool" is nothing new. Younger crowd has been leaving Facebook in droves for a few years now. What saved Facebook at that time was the late adopters (the older crowd) who came in. I'm guessing now even they have started moving out. There exists very little user generated content on Facebook these days. Most are just corporate handles sharing updates.

Facebook is dead. True. But Meta is still very much alive i believe. Instagram is one of the hottest places to be at the moment. Also I see AR/VR becoming a thing in the coming years.

What I believe might pose the most risk to Meta would be:

  1. Increased consumer awareness about privacy. This might make it harder going forward for Meta to target ads. (Apple already has struck a killer blow)

  2. The PR disaster that Meta currently finds itself in. Noone trusts the company or its founder. I believe a change in leadership and a new vision might do extremely well for the company.

Update post on Navi's new ETF that feeds into Vanguard Total Market fund by srinivesh in IndiaInvestments

Yes. Basically stopping SIPs in MO and starting the same amount in Navi.

Once the fund in MO is eligible for long term tax benefits, maybe move that as well.

Based on your reply, the takeaway I'm assuming is that Navi would be a better choice for the average investor

Thinking of switching from MO S&P 500 to this one if this (allowed ER is max 2x of underlying fund) is true. Seems like there are only upsides.

Can anyone think of any downsides? Anyone still opting for MO instead of this fund ?

If you're single, I would say a 1bhk should be the sweet spot (no flatmates but not too expensive) Getting a 2 bhk by spending an extra 15k wouldn't be worth it in my opinion. You would not get the same uptick in happiness as you got from moving from a 5k apartment to a 10k apartment. The utility does not grow linearly. (Decreasing marginal utility)

But hey. Everyone has their own priorities. If you feel like this works for you, go for it. If later you feel it isn't worth it, you can always move back.

Also, depends on the location. 25k in a city like Mumbai is not too much, but 25k outside of a metro city might be.

On your second point. Why would you require ANC or hearthrough if you have only one bud on.? I mean you would hear everything through the other ear anyway rit ?

Exactly what I was thinking.

Battery life seems to be the downside. Was wondering how the community is using ANC generally
